You don't get to say what belongs in ranked and what doesn't. And you don't get to pick for your teammates. The Teemo players I mentioned didn't end up at their respective ranks by accident. You cannot responsibly claim that a Teemo pick is bound to be detrimental to your game.

Verxint2 votesThe only way the top teamcomp is going to win is if they snowball to an extreme degree or the match is clearly horribly mismatched, both of which are not common, and there's no reason it couldn't happen to the bottom team instead of the top team. There's no reason to assume that one team is going to get that kind of advantage if I'm trying to guess which is more likely to win because they both have about the same chance of getting it.
The outcome of an individual game is never known until its over, but if you played this matchup over a bunch of games using a different random set of Silver players each time, I would hypothesize that the bottom team would have a higher winrate.
The simple fact that the only reliable hard CC for top is Yasuo means it will be a very difficult game for them to win, not even considering the enemy team.

Besides, even if it is ranked, let people have a little fun. Its not fun to have your first choice ripped from your hands from a teammate. You can ask them to not play the champ, but don't ban them. Honestly this is the one case where I can justify feeding. Not if an enemy bans your champ, but if your ally does.

If you were willing to play a champion, and you had a lot of experience and were confident in them, and then got them banned by a teammate because "it doesn't fit the teamcomp"; how would you feel? On another note, Teemo is perfectly viable.

every one gets to play what they want. its not YOUR team there is no I in team... the game is for everyone you are taking it upon yourself to say what champs your teammates can play... you ban a teemo but what is they are a one trick teemo main top and fuking good with him and you have no clue cuz you dont like the champ and they insist on playing the champ they want and say they wont change so you ban it... then you have in effect created a toxic environment for your team.
and im sure your thought process if you ban teemo a champ you find useless, bad etc etc you might have a better chance of winning?
