Queuing with support as your secondary role

Don't forget, 90% of the time if you do Fill ... it'll lead you to getting Support.
So place Fill first, Support second and that's like a 110% chance you'll get Support everytime lol.
I queued as mid first and support secondary almost exclusively for the past 10 or so games. (i haven't used the new champ select much) I always got support.
The other day I said 'fuck it I want to play support' and queued as Support main Mid secondary. Got mid.
This matchmaking system is unbelievable.
Second image is the same but I still got the joke :D
Are you going to Scarborough Fair?
funny story, I selected support + fill, and someone else selected mid + support. I got mid, they got support. don't ask me how that works, because I don't understand either.
try putting support in your primary and your other role in secondary, see if that changes how often you get the non-support role.
Its so true Im a support main who enjoys playing a jg game every once in a while. Like preferably I would like to play 2 sup games then a jg game. SO i was putting sup pref - jg second, and I didn't get a single jg game after 10+ games. So i switched it. I now get a jg game like one of every 5 games.
And sometimes, you can put support main and fill secondary, you can get NOT SUPPORT FOUR GAMES IN A ROW
Great name by the way, OP.
Also, your icon is creepy as hell
Yeah this is why I can't go support anymore.
mid primary secondary support...[zombie-brand-mindblown]
Is this really a surprise to anyone? Is anyone genuinely aghast that support is the most unpopular role and thus the hardest to fill by a significant margin?
Look at teambuilder. What role generally had you waiting the longest to fill? Most likely it was support. Occasionally it might have been jungle if it got major changes recently, but support has been steadily the most hard to fill role for most groups.
Even back in season 3, when I first started, support was generally the role you got most when you were last pick. We knew back then that if a queue was ever made that let you queue by role, you'd be stuck waiting for a support a lot of the time. Go back on the old forums and look at the topics, we called that shit before teambuilder was ever a thing.
So is it really a shock that if you give matchmaking any indication that you might be willing to play support, that is where you'll probably end up? If that's blowing your mind, I don't know what to say.
The best solution to this problem is for Riot to do a rework of the support role as a whole; to make it more appealing to a wider audience of players. Exactly how you'd go about that is a debate in and of itself, but it's something that's going to need to happen for matchmaking to be more efficient at what it does.
Fill secondary and support secondary = support. THAT IS THE LAW.
The really sad thing is that when you want Jungle and top, you have to wait 2 minutes before you get matched. Whenever I put support in secondary, I instantly get matched
How do you link a picture like that? I used to know but it's been a few seasons.
What a name. Great song.
Strangely, I put support first one time and got mid instead. But outside of that, I typically play with full groups.
I main Top/ Support 12 ranked games this season, and only 1 of them I got top...
I used to put Top/Supp, top being my most preferred. Just switched supp to mid, and now I get Top 70-80% of the time
Well I put in top and jungle cause I was playing new Shen, top was primary jungle was secondary, and I got mixed results. Then me and my friend queued together and he picked adc/fill and I picked adc/support and I got adc every single time, and he got support every single time :/ matchmaking is weird now
it took a much longer time to match up cuse no one support
And the issue compounds itself because nobody wants to load up their secondary as support as they are punished for doing so (by popping nothing but support). There needs to be some kind of incentive for queuing support, more IP perhaps.
My experience queuing with jung/supp was also about a 90% ratio in favor of supp. This to me is a broken mechanic.
I like support, but not all the time. I generally put a combo of top/mid in a varying orders unless I want to play not. That seems easy and quick to get whenever.
Honestly, if you don't want to support and are worried about getting it, then don't pick it for your secondary choice. I love support and i don't mind getting it at all but i understand where you guys are coming from.

i've gotten mid plenty of times as mid/supp...
It's horrible. I actually enjoy playing support but no-where near as much as I enjoy playing/as good as I am at Jungle.
I literally have to pick some bs that I'm not good at like AD/Mid/Top JUST so I can actually get jungle and not be a support main. Riot please sort this out.
why even call it primary secondary? it just takes whatever is open and gives it to you
crappy match making system
i spent 30 minutes finding a match too... like all the extra time they added with their retarded "choose the champion you intend to play" crap
it should give you primary 80% of the time and secondary 20% of the time or something...
my guess is they couldn't figure out how to implement it the way it should have been due to trying to balance MMR with roles... so they put this half assed garbage in
Reason i'm learning a new role, tired of always getting support. Queued with a guy who had mid secondary while I had mid primary and he got it, like wtf.
