I'm sorry but how are people defending dunkey?

What he did was so absurd and even if he the points he mentioned in his video were valid he has absolutely no right to be so toxic even at a troll. All the "but he was trolling so he deserves it!" arguments are stupid, what he deserves is a punishment from riot not from a player. People relate to him so much that they forget ethics exist, and it's not like it was something out of the blue for him, he has bullied other players before.

Because saying "GG Easy" is bannable but telling someone that they "should be gunned down in the street" is ok. League of Legends forum 2015.

Let's face it. Dunkey said a comment that would have gotten him ARRESTED in most states if he said that to the other person face-to-face. I should know. I got fired for saying something similar at work, and the only reason I wasn't arrested was that the other person didn't want to file charges.

He claims to promote the game, and yet, it seems that the only thing's he promoting is toxic behavior. Some kid is probably trash-talking in a game right now, and in the back of his mind he's thinking "lol, i m dunkey". And expecting a brief unbanning because he thought Riot owed him a favor for "promoting" the game? So that he can finish a video where he trash-talks more players? Honestly? That to me screams LeBron James-level ego there.

If Riot unbanned Dunkey, that would go against the principle of the rules. And that is that they apply evenly to everyone. Being a Pro player or a popular YouTuber shouldn't make you exempt from the punishments if you break the rules. And let's face it, we've seen several Pro players get PERMABANS for toxic or unsportsmanlike behavior. If you, me, Dunkey, Dyrus, Phant0mL0rd (sorry if I got his name wrong.), or anyone else says something like that with a HISTORY of toxic behavior, the punishment should still be the same.

Was the Malphite in the wrong? Yes. Did he get banned? No. Did he have a HISTORY of intentional feeding? Possibly. See, that's how Riot's system works. If it's one, ISOLATED, incident, they'll usually write it off as a bad game. Even a few incidents in one day wouldn't trip anything, except maybe a warning, a little "hey, you're getting a little heated there, calm down, okay?". But if you do it over an EXTENDED period, and I'm talking weeks to YEARS, then Riot will look at the evidence and say "Okay, yeah, he's toxic" and hit the ban button. Honestly, Dunkey should have taken his two-week ban, and calmed down. Maybe looked at it and said: "Okay, maybe this was the wrong thing to say, and I should work on that.", put the video work on pause and played something else in the meantime. But no. He instead fired off an email that more or less said "Hey, I'm a famous Youtuber and I need to finish a video, can I have an unban, please?" And when Riot rightly said "no", Dunkey lost his shit, insulted Riot, the game, and the community, and ragequit League. Doesn't that seem a little childish? And the fact that people are defending him boggles me.

Dunkey has a history going back years of being insulting to players ingame. And with Riot tightening their methods of finding toxic players in an effort to improve the community, which most players have been complaining about for about as long as the old forums and the new boards have existed, it was only a matter of time before it got him. For all of Season 5, Dunkey has been playing Russian Roulette with the new systems with this kind of behavior, and this time, he got the chamber with the bullet in it.

Shouldn't have pulled the trigger, Dunkey. Now, there's a big mess for you to clean up.

Did anyone else see that his account was banned until 9/17/2015? That's this Thursday. What are we arguing about? He wasn't perma-banned.

I watch some of Dunkeys videos but i have to agree he should be punish (i'm assuming the reason why his been banned for such a long time is that he had similar reports/punishments). I think what some of the people that are arguing about it is about the malphite issue not necessarily he deserves it but i think a lot of people are concerned if malphite will get his "due" as well.
