Why does it take more than 100 games to build an entire runepage?

100 IP per game X 100 = 10000 IP, most of my rune pages cost beyond 10000 IP- and the rune page I want to buy soon will cost more than 15000 IP, so 150+ games to get an entire runepage the way that I want it?

2050 + 2050 + 2050 = 6,150 IP for 3 quints 850 X 9 for my yellow = 7,650 (Assumption, loading screen atm) Blues are same as yellow so 7,650 Reds, assuming that I don't already have the reds are another 7,650

So 22,950 + 7,150 = 30,100.
