Remember when riot gave melee auto attack bruisers so much shit for being "ball of stats".
Yet it's fine when an adc has stat check gameplay with lifesteal/crits and is ranged. This gets even worse when a support buys 
and gives them 3-4k gold worth of stats from a shield.
Bruisers were much more fair, at least you can kite them.
You can't kite a twitch appearing from 850 range.
