Petition for less new champions and more Sion level reworks in Season 6
Would honestly give up all new champions in Season 6 if the champs that are and have been lacking in meta and fun for years would get reworked.

I agree, when a champ that no one plays or likes is reworked into something like Sion, it's just as good as a new champ

People played Sion before the rework. People liked Sion before the rework. That Sion was removed. People were sad. It shouldn't be done to any other champion.
Like 4 people played him, new Sion is infinitely better gameplay wise and fun wise
not really, about the same amount of people play him post rework. I would call sion a failure; after all he is pretty much useless in game.
He is WAY more popular now than he was, maybe not in the past month or two but overall yeah he is. In what way is an unkillable CC monster with decent damage useless?
and you have like 1 game with him in ranked in the last 50 (aprox). he has shit for damage and his passive is almost a complete waste of space and only fills a thematic purpose. His ult is one of the easiest things to dodge and is used mostly to run away. Sion is not popular at all right now.
I think you need to get your fact straight.
He's the champ I use the 2nd most times in ranked what are you even talking about? Shit for damage? How the fuck are you building him? AP? His passive is good for teamfights if he dies early but yeah is easy to get away from but still is a threat even after he dies so people have to use CC or abilities or run away from even after they manage to kill him. If you always try to hit people with the ult from across the map then yeah it's easy to dodge but is still an aoe knock up if you hit it right and creates semi global pressure which you seem to have overlooked. True he's definitely not as popular right now but 80% of the champions in League are hardly used at any given time so that's not really saying much. Just because in your 5 ranked games with him you did meh doesn't mean the champion is bad.
you might want to go look at your ranked history then. Cause he was not played at all
useless? the guy is almost unkillable, has a second life that does %max hp damage in addition to his AD, he has 3 hard crowd controls and 1 soft and only gets stronger the longer the game persists
he might not outduel someone, but he's awesome in team fights
the 3rd hard crowd control(well, haven't confirmed it recently), was that his E could stun a champ briefly if it knocked them into a wall, but the knockback is very minor
That wouldn't do anything, reworks and champions are made by different teams. Removing champions from being made wouldn't speed up the process.
They could just combine the teams and make them work on reworks
No they couldn't. Can't have to many projects at once, with to many people with so many different idea's. They also have different people that do different jobs, the people that make Champions specialize in different aspects of the game. While the rework team specializes in their own.
What's so different between creating a new champion and creating a new version of an existing champion? Not a lot. The teams' jobs are similar enough for them to work together or in separate groups each working on a different champion so their work is done twice as fast as having two separate teams. It's really not that much of a stretch
You'd also have to increase the people on the balance team. And many other teams that cooperate with the rework and champion teams. You can't have to many projects going on at once (Since reworks take shorter amounts of time), it effects every team. Would need more people who do the model up dates. Need more people for the animations, would need more people who do art, the splashes, the coding everything. A lot to go into it, you can't just double up on it. you'd also have the problem of not releasing champions, a huge amount of the player base wouldn't like that either :/
everyone you mention already has to work with a new champ, if they moved everyone to updating champions from new champions nothing would change (man power wise).
Also the balance team has 0 input on a champ release, they only effect live champs. It is the job of the updaters or creators to make a starting balance.
Final thoughts you have no clue what you are talking about
they have 9 people working on their balance team and champ design team
So CertainlyT works in both correct?
The number of new champion release has already plummeted. It's fine -- besides they're two completely different teams.
or at least split it in two instead of giving us 6 new champs a year and reworking 1 or 2...
all the new champs at 6300 aren't going to be used except by the pay and play players unless someone just has a large amount of IP stashed
