Inting Sion needs to be nerfed

I get it riot you LOVE to balance your game around pro play, but can we get some REAL meaningful nerfs towards the inting sion. I know there are big changes and some buffs coming to towers in the presason, but thats still over a month away. and reducing sions hp regain does literally nothing when Sion is just going to kill himself taking towers and inhibs. Inting Sion is one of the most tilting toxic things to have to play against in quite a while, riot already said its not ban worth, so why not fix the freaking problem!? Like maybe make sion ghost not be able to use active items and does 50% dmg to towers and inhibs, or nerf the amount free max hp he gets from his W because that plus overgrowth makes Sion as big if not bigger than a Chogath, only sion has 2 giant freaking health bars because his passive. This has been and issue for over a week now, and Riot you did literally nothing to help solve this problem this most recent patch, this crap should be hot fixed right away, not left alone until preseason. Please at least try to put a ban-aid on this ridicules problem until towers get buffed this preason.

It 100% needs to be dealt with. I don't have a problem playing against strong champions such as Urgot, Kai'sa, etc. Sure they're annoying because they're very strong, but they don't make the game unfun to play for me. That's just my opinion. However, when I have to play a game where the top laner is 3/11 and actually just ulting past his team fighting so that he can solo tank a turret without minions, and still take it due to Demolish and Zz'rot I DO NOT HAVE FUN.

So I guess I have to perma ban him, which puts me in a shitty situation because that means I need to leave other very strong champions open. I'm not going to do that however because after playing against inting Sion for the third time in a row I've actually just lost my will to get Plat. I'm Gold 1 and was really looking forward to trying to grind out Plat this last month but with the state of the game currently I honestly just don't care enough.

Sure I'm whining a lot, but as a long time player who has put several thousands of hours into this game I can tell you that this shit is just not fun to play against, while also being strong. Teemo isn't fun to play against, but at least he's a balanced champion. Sion however isn't fun to play against but he's also going to oneshot your turrets while feeding his ass off. I'll see you guys in pre-season or whenever this strat has gone down the gutter.

I love Sion's rework to death, but this is way too much. I played it and it's totally broken. After you complete Titanic Hydra and Sterak's Gage, you're unstoppable. Sure, they can bring you down... but not before you do some serious damage. I have lost as Inting Sion, but it's only when my team is feeding their asses off. If my team is even halfway decent and can draw at least 2 members of the other team when I'm in another lane, they better be prepared for me to just smash through a tower or 3.

I knew from the start that Demolish was a fucking busted rune to begin with. Tanks did not need this tower nuke in their arsenal. They're already some of the strongest classes of champions in the game, just because they're so hard to bring down, and their damage is pretty consistent since most of them have tools in their kit that hold you still for about 5 whole minutes.

But inting Sion is the kind of thing that you should not have in your game. Period. If you are feeding so hard that you've died over 10 times, and it STILL requires the enemy team to gang up on you all at once to keep you from just taking objectives for free? That's not how this game is meant to be played. Someone that far behind is not supposed to be able to take towers that easily.

I believe the only way to deal with it is to make it where he cant hit towers in passive. that or make it where he cant use demolish in passive form. seems like every year the is a problem that people exploit and force perma bans. riot ignores it until they are done playing against it their-selves but remember its a business not just a game. they put out skins and keep champs buffed around those skins so people buy them. it is free to play but the game is never balanced because they need to make money.

Question, wouldn't nerfing Demolish be the way to go? Sure Sion can still hang in there and be a nuisance but combined with the upcoming tower changes wouldn't that be enough to nullify his ability to just tower dive and destroy turrets quickly?

The boards: Riot destroys off meta stuff all the time.

Also the boards: Nerf anything I don't like.

Also the boards: Riot only likes pro play.

Also the boards: Why did you nerf Garen and Yorick and Ahri and Nami?

Also the boards: Why does Riot never listen to us?

Lol... I've seen "inting" Sion quite a few times lately and I've tried it out for myself and I don't think that it is a real issue. Objective oriented play can be healthy (I am a fan of Singed) and I don't want to see a new strategy destroyed before people have had the chance to learn to react to it. Ever since "inting" Sion has been popularized, Sion's average winrate has actually taken a noticeable decline of almost 2%, bringing him within 1% of a balanced 50% winrate in solo-queue despite him doing well at disrupting uncoordinated play. Based on my personal experience and the statistics, I'd say people are actually overusing this new Sion strategy in situations where it's not ideal and people are already learning how to punish it. I don't think the "inting" Sion strategy needs targeted nerfs, though turrets do need buffs. If anything Sion related needs nerfs, maybe his poke with item 2033 in top lane.

By the way, whenever something new or macro-strategy-based comes along, people are sure to complain that it's anti-fun. This is because adapting is painful for a lot of people, and novelty/creativity is considered "unfair", but I personally enjoy new strategies shaking up the game because I am easily bored when gameplay is stagnant (that's also why I "troll" with non-meta picks).

seriously i destroy a sion yet he still is able to push tower to inhib no problen and 2/11 and then gets cocky from it

Trash Yasuo Main10/17/2018, 11:13:00 PM2 votes

Man, I didnt have a problem with it until i had a game where the enemy sion singlehandlely ended the game by himself

Scibra10/27/2018, 9:38:46 PM2 votes

It's unconventional play, and needs changed ASAP. The issue (and this happens in other champs using a similar strategy) is that you have an incredibly tanky champion, so he can ignore a LOT of damage before going down. Next is that Demolish and Titanic Hydra gives damage that scales with the tankiness, and too well.

Like how is it possible that sion can literally tank every single hit and destroy the turret with no ease its actually funny.

They should at least make that tower shots would do more damage to sion during his passive.

Flemman10/13/2018, 8:26:25 PM1 votes

I just want sion back to maxing E first, more healty

Leon Belmont10/28/2018, 2:17:48 AM1 votes

I feel it wouldn't be as bad if they made his damage against turrets do reduced... maybe scale with level or hp. so as he grows then he does more damage to turrets upon death. Its an interesting turn on sion and i like people got creative with it.... but its hard to do anything against when hes already dead and you have to stay in lane and unload cc on him... and every time you kill him the gold hes worth goes down. Maybe make it if you kill sion again its another 100g or something... idk. there are ways to balance it. but as it is right now, its pretty ridiculous. Even higher elos have trouble with it.

Prolly have to see it in the LCS before Riot decides to do something about it. It degrades the quality of the game's viewership like yi/taric did.

munraker11/2/2018, 11:01:35 AM1 votes

And still Rito hasnt done anything...

Xavanic10/12/2018, 9:22:27 PM1 votes

Here's a question, how do you nerf it without nerfing the champ into outright un-viability? its literally just sion split pushing and using his passive (which is already shitty asf) unless they give him a completely new passive or nerf zzrot i don't see how your going to nerf this
