Why did Vi's E get an AP ratio?

And if there is a sensible reason, why didn't the rest of her kit get an AP ratio? Dafuq riot?

First i thought to mix up her build path but then i saw only her E got an AP ratio. useless....

She always had AP ratio on her E tho.

A lot of older Champs have a couple AP ratios that they are not meant to actually use. It's historical, at the beginning spells only had AP ratios, AD ratios didn't exist at all, and some of those old AP ratios are still there today. My favorite example is Jinx chompers.

Hey, don't bash it. If you wanna meme around you can still get decently fed on AP Vi. I have an item set dedicated to it. Once went 9/0 with that. You'll do basically no damage but as long as you can play the champ you're good.

It's kinda just there but they upped the ratio to encourage off-meta builds and more flexible playstyles. It's the same reason that her E can now crit on the cone. They're not trying to force crit builds (cause they'd still not be as good as standard bruiser build) but trying to have a bit more fun with potential fun builds.

Vi got that AP ratio in 9.5

The ratio got increased in 9.5, but it was been there forever and it was already 0.7 before.

Not sure why they touched this value. Maybe for the odd RageBlade Vi, but I'm not convinced.
