How to Leash (A Short Tutorial)

  1. EVERYONE but Shaco needs a leash.
  2. All together, attack the monster.
  3. The jungler smites it to kill it.
  4. THEN you leave.

If you read the patch notes (like everyone should) then you would know that monsters only grant exp to the one that kills them. That means that smiting to kill is now the superior method of leashing, and that there's no excuse for a bad leash anymore.

I feel its more beneficial to smite at the start for the initial damage and buff because most supports and adcs won't take the camp. The only time you need to watch out is with a Twitch just due to the poison.

It's still better. That time with the buff is insignificant and it doesn't make the leash happen any faster. In fact, it'll likely only make it worse since they leave sooner.
