As a jungler, how to deal with Cho'Gath's Ultimate?

Level 6 Cho'gath > Level 18 jungler

Is there even a point in taking smite against Cho? Oh right, you're forced into it now.

EDIT: I don't understand the downvotes? I am talking about his damage Vs dragon, not his damage against Champs.

"Against non-champions the base damage is increased to 1000, and killing one refunds 50 mana and halves Feast's cooldown."

Play a sweet champ so cho gets a sweet tooth and dies.

Smite has the advantage of being ranged and instant. Cho's ult actually has a tiny cast time. I don't really see the point of this thread anyway. Why would anyone ever jungle without smite?

Smite secures objectives. You can't secure objectives that have a Cho on them. Smite is therefor worthless.

Just asking for how other jungle players deal with the instant 1k true damage coming from Cho when he is level 6.

either keep him away from the objective or counterpick Nunu, so that you have an extra 400 true damage with your Q to get the objective.

Well, I took up some quick research and this is probably the best I can come up with. So Lets start off with the ability itself.

Cho'gath's Ult Ravenously feed on an enemy, dealing 300/475/650 (+70% Ability Power) true damage to champions

True damage is a pain. Back then, people relied on the "dodge" mechanic to avoid them. But with it's removal from the game beside champion abilities and few other exceptional runes that I heard that stayed in the game. Is building Life.

Here's an example post on people talking about it. http://forums.na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=1625165

Another method is to "kite" him so he is unable to ult you. So champions that can slow or is plain faster than him will have an easier time. http://www.championcounter.com/chogath

And lucky for me on adding that, on the same page. there is a tip that back up the building life method. "Building health can help protect against the true damage from Cho'Gath's ultimate."

As for his passive, on the same page, there a tip on it too!~ "Try to kill Cho'Gath wherever possible to avoid his Feast ability stacking too high."

Just don't let him stack up. If he does manage to farm up and get big. These items will always be useful. Depending on your champion and their team setup. item 3036 item 3033 item 3135 item 3151

As for smite buffs. The Chilling smite can help you kite him. and challenging smite can lower his other damage and increasing your own damage.

Sorry to have wasted your time, we aren't talking about the damage he deals to champions. We are talking about trying to take objectives when his ult does more damage to dragon than your smite does.

CC him. then. Or have someone harass him so he can't get to objectives.

Ban him, he is broken.
