I think enough time has passed, can the old Soraka fans regroup and talk about their findings with why the new one isn't as bad?

When I play Soraka, I'm;

Buffing any knock-up or stun on my team This is a great synergy, wait for Ashe or Malphj etc, to ult, then drop your silence field on the enemies before they're free
Shutting down Zed, Riven, Yasuo, etc. When these champs crowd-control themselves by jumping onto your team mate, drop silence field on them
Giving Infinite HP
Snaring people half way across the map with solar flare

I love the new Soraka! She's just great! I wish Crabby was still around so I could rub it in how much I love this champion right now.

Until they delete her W and give her a proper heal, there's going to be a number of her old fans who will hate the rework. Until she gets her mana gift back, there will be other fans who will hate the rework.

I can still play soraka well enough, I just don't like to pick her as often now and I can't play her as an off-mid/top pick like I used to. So until she's a viable solo laner again, there will be another small group of fans who don't like the rework.

Proper heal? I didn't realize giving friends 360+ health every 2 seconds for a measly 185 of my own health wasn't good enough.... Guess I'll have to go back to the drawing board on that one.

I hate every single thing about the Soraka rework. It showcases just how badly Riot will screw up a perfectly normal, fun & balanced champion. If I could refund her and all of my skins I would. I hate the rework -that- much.

(Yes obviously I am a die-hard old Soraka fan.)

I like her kit so much. It's so misunderstood, but I've found her to be incredibly powerful. Never have I been able to get my ADC as fed with anyone else. The games I win with Soraka are such blow-outs it's ridiculous. All these bananas and all these heals.

I like going item 3069 item 3158 item 3285 item 3023 .
Move-speed out the banan-ass. Ain't no one can catch me, especially if my team is getting a little low.

Her biggest weakness is teammates who couldn't carry a game if their lives depended on it. The kind of people who make you wonder how match-making isn't just Riot's way of trolling us. While I do tend to win with her, if I do lose, I lose pretty hard. Painfully hard. If my ADC doesn't understand "BLOW THRESH'S FACE OFF IF HE COMES CLOSE AND KEEP SHREDDING HIM WITHOUT MERCY DO NOT STOP UNTIL I TELL YOU TO STOP", then I don't know how to make it any more clear and I probably should've just dodged.

I feel like most of the people who hate the rework hate it because of her inability to solo lane... I liked her alright before, but if she was a support (which is what I play), she was just an un-interactive mana and health battery. Very boring and not actually very good at "clutch saves" like she was supposed to be, since typically her target was ignited, so all she really did was heal for a couple hundred health and grant a ton of resistances. They made her in-lane sustain weaker and made her better at saving lives. MUCH better. The rework made me switch to maining her.
