His revive is limited to a really short window and doesn't trigger outside of that He lost the near constant bonus AS he could have from keeping his bloodwell up, which like his passive, is limited to a crappy short window(This gutted jungle Aatrox)
Q changes were a buff i'll give you that
W healing changes forces him into a tanky build which is exactly the opposite of his mains were building on him before the rework -Also lost the tripled healing below half health
W damage HEAVILY nerfed, including the ratio
E change is a nerf the second the enemy buys any armor unless you're building Black Cleaver His sticking power was also nerfed due to the fact that it ~~no longer goes up to a 50% slow AND ~~(It got nerfed early and scales up to 50% instead of the constant 40%, my bad here) the slow duration was nerfed at max rank from 2.75 to 2 which was huge

Neo Metalsonic15 votesI played him this patch. I struggled to kill a 0/4/0 Jinx that was almost not intentionally feeding and that I was 2 levels ahead off with my aatrox. Just barely managed to win with full hp and ult up with 100 hp left. And it's not even because I got outplayed, it's that Aatrox has extremely low damage values. You deplete your blood well very fast out of combat (after like 4-5 seconds of no combat it's back to 0). This leads you to needing to use your abilities with no bloodwell up so you don't get the AS bonus or the damage bonus. After you finally get the blood well the fight is already over, or you die before you can even get the blood well buff.
He's probably the weakest champion in the game right now, I really can't remember playing a more underpowered champion. I also played Urgot and with Urgot you can atleast outplay people and win a lane. Aatrox his numbers are too low to even win lanes. Aatrox had a decent early game but Riot now took that away in this patch and gave him no tools for lategame. So now you have Aatrox who is terrible early game and scales like crap. So what is he supposed to do?

You dont have to play a champion to be able to read that they essentially removed the health costs in exchange for cutting the dmg in half, its really bad. The fact that people who don;t play aatrox see it as well as aatrox players should REINFORCE how stupid and poorly done this change was not lead you to attack the players who recognize the ineptitude of riot.

False. You actually do need to play a fair bit of the champion to know that it's bad and there's no way to make it work. Even if Aatrox is weak right now, that still doesn't mean this version of him can't be balance-able with numbers changes while the old version was known to be something that simply didn't work in the game when it was strong enough to be viable.

Because the PBE is a terrible place to get balance data, it's all but completely useless from that perspective.

What Is Smite4 votesAlright, well understand this then: The new Aatrox is horrible compared to his previous iteration. His base AS feels horrible and the heal from W also feels like your getting fucked over. The passive is useless until you can get it fully stacked but then again who isn't running from you during those 4 seconds it's draining? The revive mechanic of his passive is screwed up beyond belief, a 4 second window where you can revive that's on a 180-120s cd is absolute crap. The changes to his Blood Price are way too steep, they promote more tank builds rather than supporting both offensive and defensive playstyle's. At least what they could have done to make this new mini-rework fit him was boost his base AS by a bit and instead of having the passive be useless unless fully stacks give him a portion of AS from the total he should get once it's filled, the bonus AD can be what he gets once the passive bar is completely filled up. The revive mechanic of the passive should be similar to the proportional AS I mentioned before, instead of getting the full heal to however much HP he would get at 100% Bloodwell it would be a portion equivalent to the % he had on the Bloodwell. The Damage on his Dark Flight (Q) needs to be buffed, it's way too low as it is now and effectively kills out his Q>E>R> Blood Price (W) burst combo. Finally the Bloodwell decays needs to be removed to benefit both his jungling and top lane roles, or make it so that the bloodrush buff continues to be refreshed while in combat and not just with enemy champions.
I have been playing Aatrox since I started League 4 years ago, this is the worst mini-rework that the Balance Team could come-up with.

This reminds me of the time we Akali mains said the changes would ruin Akali, and people like you came and argued why we didn't have the right to complain about changes, and thus she lost a lot of her winrate and playrate. Now after her numbers buffs she's playable but still clunky, and her original playerbase and following has dropped. Her niche isn't even entirely the same anymore.
Now Aatrox is getting changed, and from what I saw of his passive he could end up being really bad. Will that happen? I don't know. But I'm sick and tired of people trying to discount players who actually speak against changes.
recav12342 votesThe passive forces you to fill up the bloodwell with your W you can not use the healing during engauge untill after you have gotten the stacks. Since you need 5 stacks to activate it since all the abilities give the same % for some stupid fucking reason even though the CD on Q is 16 fucking seconds and e is very long as well however riot didnt consider increasing the bloodwell contribution for the extremely long CD. that means you are forced to get 3 stacks from you damage W. This means I have to get 9 auto attacks in to fill up my bloodwell. Since there is absolutely no benifit from anything less than 100% full bloodwell including bonus attack speed dmg and revive it makes you a absolute dumpster fire of a champ early game. However if the enemy team is bad enough to allow this champion to get fed he is overwhelmingly powerful. Good luck getting there thouh your early in midgame is a absolute struggle for fucking survival if you liked Aatrox JG. Enemy jgs will go into your jg completely uncontested because even at lvl 6 you are so overwhelmingly weak that you can not counter a single jg champ in the meta. If you choose to top lane youre in a much better spot but if you are caught without a minion wave to stack bloodwell with the enemy champ is just going to burst you down. Now that every damage source is physical damage you are even weaker because you are much easier to counter since the majority of your kit is phyisical dmg. This isnt a rework in my opinion its a retune and its not unsalvageable, but if they do not hotfix this ASAP that champion will be the worst champion in the roster hands down.

his passive is seriously gutted i played him quite alot before the mini rework that occured before his pasive was his best thing now its the worst u can proc the revive in 5 sec window now ... ppl can just walk off when they see the mini guardian angel effect and now u can have the attack speed steroid in 5 sec window when you're in bloodrush thingy state and u must go in first use R + E on everyone and u still need to hit 9 times with W on to get your passive even goin. they should disable and hotfix him immediately. most of the stuff arent just QQ but real stuff.

if u say that the passive wasnt primary thing for aatrox u clearly didnt played old aatrox ... w/o it he cant even 1v1 a 0/5 adc cuz it was giving him alot of attack speed and revive with half health when the bar was full. i just make no sense to me u try to convince ppl that aatrox is not disgustlingly bad or smthing? he is literally champ with 4 skills and a passive which works for just 5 sec.
