To the guy who suggested plain buffs for Nasus

Tl;dr at the end

Rather than giving Nasus plain buffs, I'd suggest to give him changes to make his dueling against tanks stronger, but also to nerf his obnoxious damage against squishies.

Even if he wasn't part of the Juggernaut rework, Nasus is one. Juggernauts have clear ways to deal with tanks (let's keep Morde out of this, thanks). Garen reduces an enemy's armor by 25% if they have been hit by 4 spins. He can stack Cleaver pretty easily as well, resulting in 43% armor pen. Darius gains 5% armor penetration for every point he puts in his E. Granted he levels this skill 2nd, he maxes out the % penetration by lvl 13. He also stacks Cleaver easily, with his passive dealing physical damage over time.

What does Nasus have? 20~40 armor penetration. Yes, it can be devastating on people who would only build item 3157 or item 3026 as situational armor items, but these are rare in Top lane.

If my math is correct, on a target with 150 armor (assuming Nasus doesn't build Cleaver, his E is lvl 5 and Darius' E is lvl 5)

  • Garen penetrates 43% armor after 4 spins and full cleaver stacks (=64.5 armor pen)

  • Darius penetrates 43% armor with full cleaver stacks (=64.5 armor pen)

  • Nasus penetrates 40 armor while the target is standing in his E (=26.67% armor pen)

Same target, but 200 armor

  • Garen penetrates 43% armor after 4 spins and full cleaver stacks (=86 armor pen)

  • Darius penetrates 43% armor with full cleaver stacks (=86 armor pen)

  • Nasus penetrates 40 armor while the target is standing in his E (=20% armor pen)

250 armor

  • Garen penetrates 43% armor after 4 spins and full cleaver stacks (=107.5 armor pen)

  • Darius penetrates 43% armor with full cleaver stacks (=107.5 armor pen)

  • Nasus penetrates 40 armor while the target is standing in his E (=16% armor pen)

His damage against tanks isn't on-par with other juggernauts, judging by these numbers. For fans of numbers, in the same scenario (Darius and Nasus' E are lvl 5, and the target is in Nasus' E), Nasus would deal more damage to targets below 93 armor, while Garen and Darius would deal more above 93.

I'd suggest one of these changes

  • R now gives passively 10%/25%/40% armor penetration, E doesn't reduce armor but now marks enemies for 5 seconds. Damaging marked targets grants 30~60 movement speed for 2 seconds.

The benefit of giving him armor penetration on his R rather than on his Q is to not make him feast or famine, while still keeping his late game monstrosity title. Also, 40% on an ADC won't do a lot, rather than a flat 40. Straight up buff for "qq adc 2k17", buff for his dueling against tanks (which aren't rare top lane). The movement speed burst is to not make his E always leveled last and underpowered (close battle between W and E depending on matchups ; most champs have a clear ability level up). Assuming Nasus maxes E second, the values even out at 200/120/100 armor, meaning for this amount of armor, he would penetrate the same amount of armor.

OR

  • Armor penetration on E changed from 20~40 to 30%~50% (or 20%~40% if it sounds too strong?), half initial half over the 5 seconds (think Trundle's R, also fits with the way the damage on his E is dealt). If you enter the circle after it was already casted, you will only suffer the other half over time.

Reminder that this is a nerf at his damage against squishies due to removing flat armor penetration, and a buff for his dueling against tanks, which impacts later in the game when they start stacking huge amounts of armor.

Tl;dr, Nasus is a Juggernaut, so are Darius and Garen. They have ways to deal with tanks with in-built % armor pen and ease to stack cleaver fast (with Darius' passive and Garen's E, respectively), which Nasus doesn't. I suggested changes (check last 2 dots) to reduce his ability to deal obnoxious amounts of damage to squishies, while still making his 1v1 stronger against tanks.

Let me know what you think! Please bring constructive criticism.

Nasus already counters tanks because they can't stop him from taking towers.
