I just lost out on my series (yeah I know ranked doesn't matter rn) because I locked in jungle and some loser locked in troll nunu. Why after 6 seasons is this allowed to go on again?

PogChampEleGiggl1 votesbecause there's always has to be somebody who takes one for the team and dodges, so not only everybody else can have a good time but so you don't lose as much LP. i'm sure you're already aware of how unpredictable votes are, /ff being a great example. in many cases, somebody will need to dodge anyway.
p.s I hope they just delete nunu sometime tbh. That's some Yorick/Maokai level gameplay right there, but on a grander scale tbh

The Yetii Rider1 votesThe reason probably has to do with the enormous queue times that higher ranked players have. Like 20-30 minutes. Imagine if you were a streamer and League was your primary income and you were Diamond.
You queue up, maybe put on some Hearthstone or something while you wait to get into game, then your group dodges and you have to do it all over again.
Down in gold I have 3 minute queue times and I think a vote to dodge would be great, but I think it's different in Challenger and Master.
