How Lux's Shield is Different From Other Mages
She's one of the very few mages who can cast a shield on an ally ( besides
and maybe
if you consider them mages ). Every other mage who has a shield can use it both offensively and defensively.
- Removes cc affects and allows teammates or herself to get up close and personal.
- Gives the opportunity for longer ranged shock waves if attached to an ally and cc chains.
- Increases movement speed that allows her to proc her snare or initiate a team fight with mantra.
- Can literally be used as either a shield or a damage spell.
So why is it that Lux's shield doesn't offer any offensive benefits when every other mage's shield does? My proposal is to allow ally's to proc her passive if they have her shield. Her shield is already a skill shot so there is no guarantees an ally will get it and the ally still has to aa the enemy with her passive which is not always possible. This change won't add a lot of power to her and if it does than they can always lessen the damage from allies who proc her passive. It just seems silly that such a high damage mage has a shield that is purely for defensive purposes and while it does allow her to be more aggressive while soaking up damage, that isn't what a high damage mage is suppose to do.
