The Terrifying Trio And How They Came To Be

Shaco, Fiddlesticks, and Nocturne are mysteries in Runetera. No one knows what to make of them, or how they came to be (taking into account Fiddlesticks' and Nocturne's lore are no longer valid). Some suggest demons or personifications of fear itself, but my theory is a little more out there. So I have conjured the notion that these three champions were all human. They no longer claim that right, but at one point they were living regular lives. These once men where all greeted by the same illusive woman. She gives the notion that she can improve their lives, make them better than who they are, and like all men who are greeted by a beautiful woman, they give in. Unknowingly, they are changed into the champions we know today and will forever be that way.

But what of the woman? She is a witch, much older and wiser than her face shows. She is able to keep her beauty by sapping the life out of people through fear, and the champions, her conduits of terror. For when someone gives into fear, they cease to truly live. Hairs turn gray and fall out, bags form under the eyes of youths, and they loose a part of their lives because they are scared. Even if they only give in to fear for a moment, its a moment added to her life.

What do you think? I kept it really short so I wouldn't lose anyone and because usually my posts don't get above 3 upvotes, but I have individual stories for each champion and would love to share them. I can also go more in depth with this woman I used to tie Shaco, Fiddlesticks, and Nocturne all together. I love these champs, although I only play Fiddlesticks, but their archetypes are so interesting to me. The fact that they are all friends on their webpages was the reason I made this so if you liked the idea I could expand on it.

And so I don't end on such a serious note, here are some funny pictures of said champions above. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3MZxSJNHkf4/TcAQLjpvvJI/AAAAAAAAAOo/fLA9rkggyYk/s1600/DHF_42_Fiddlesticks.jpg http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gi8xycgjYCE/TdE1-gM0hkI/AAAAAAAAAPY/OEJzfKez320/s1600/DHF_51_Nocturne.jpg http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3KjhxfTh2xM/TdKGYj0VpvI/AAAAAAAAAPc/Ke0gpF0HSoI/s1600/DHF_52_Shaco.jpg

1.You will need a Champion that knows Dig, a Relicanth at the end of your party, and a Wailord at the front of your party. You may also want to have a translator for Braille, a language not commonly used but still used today. It is in the form of dots.

2.You will need to stay toward the lower part of the route. Eventually, you will see a spot where you can dive and you will enter the cave. Then follow the pathway. When you're there, go to the braille at the north-end of the chamber and use dig. Go through the door and keep walking north to the next braille and press A.

3.That is how you unlock the legendary trio of Nocturne, Shaco, and Fiddlesticks. That is how they came to Runeterra.

I like the gist of the idea, however I feel as though these champions have an opportunity to have lore that really sets them apart from each other. Visually, they are pretty distinct champions and I'd like for them to have distinction in their lore as well. Under the old lore, they all had the mysterious spooky something vibe. One that I feel stepped on each others toes, so I'd support distancing their lore from each other. On the other hand, the spooky woman sounds really cool, as well as the source of her powers. I just feel as though she is the character that lore is written on, rather than those three.

With the introduction of Tahm Kench, I believed that Riot was going to re-write these champions into different demons haunting Runetera in their own way. There are some strong themes that accompanies each of them; Tahm - Gluttony, Fiddlesticks - Death, Nocturne - Fear, Shaco - Chaos. I could see it as though they each feast on these things to sustain themselves on the destruction of human lives through these means. Given that they were already quite mysterious before the lore retcon, there is a lot of ground Riot can cover with them to give them a proper story and relevance.

It actually is nearly confirmed that Fiddlesticks was once human. Yorick now has a quote that he says to "mutant" champions, like Cassiopeia. It's something along the lines of "I pity what you've become." Fiddlesticks is included in this group.

I believe something else about JhinJhin . I believe these two made deals with Tahm KenchTahmKench . First off, both Jhin seems inhuman and wears a mask, which is rather strange behavior. Second, he is very good at killing, as a hired assassin who finds some kind of twisted joy in his work. Now, this is where facts end and theorizing begins. Tell me, what is Tahm Kench known for in Valoran? Making deals that seem good at the time, but bring a heavy price. Perhaps both Jhin and Shaco(but mostly Jhin, as we don't know this for Shaco) made deals to become better artists(As I said, mostly Jhin). Also, according to the lore, Tahm looks like thisTahmKench because that's what the people of Bilgewater know him as. He looks different everywhere. Now, imagine, if you will, a young actor known as Khada Jhin, who seeks to bring beauty to Ionia. He makes a deal with a well-known water spirit, who gives him the ability to create beauty where he goes. At first, it seems like a blessing, but then, Jhin sees everything as chaotic, disgusting, and imperfect, without the harmony he so wanted to create. He then became the creature he is today. Thank you for reading this, and if you don't like it, I don't care.

Eternal life powered by fear machines. Sounds awesome

As much as I like the Terror Trio, I wanted these three to have their own individual stories and lore instead of being tied to just one thing like they're all being some personifications of negative emotions or just demons (just calling them demons is just about as lazy as it sounds).

I've already made a huge-ass rework concept w/ lore about Fiddlesticks being a magical construct brought to life by his creator. I don't have to explain everything, so just go here to read more: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/LJZi7ZU1-fiddlestickss-new-lore-abilities-and-voiceover

I wanted Nocturne to be a wraith created by the Ruination that'll later haunt early Ionia. I've always liked the idea that Nocturne's behind Zed's betrayal and murder of his mentor, Master Kusho. Like to have Jax be his nemesis for being the one that imprisoned him.

Shaco is an interesting character, but I wouldn't call him a demon because he's called The Demon Jester, it feels more like a title than anything literal. What I pictured him to be is a fallen-from-grace assassin from Noxus until he was led into the Glade by Lulu's Pix. He wanted to leave, but got lost and later snapped.

I've always had a headcanon that they were related somehow.

I mean, an executioner, a jester, and a k_night_, it practically writes itself.

tbh i really like the idea of these three being the cryptids of the league world. there's been sightings of them dating way back, but there's no proof they exist

and still, to this very day, people will sometimes be found dead next to a lifeless jack in the box, or people will have horrible nightmares and later go missing, or crows will sweep by a farm and eat everything in sight- including its inhabitants

i just think it'd be neat
