Riot still cares about the community and tries to fix as many things as possible. Through the chaos that is gameplay, lore, tech support, updates, and so many other things they are rushing to improve for us, they still take the time to modify a splash art. Well art team is separate from gameplay team so, thanks ART TEAM.
The Art Team has historically been more open and willing to make compromises with us. It's the Balance and Gameplay Team that likes to f*** us in the ass and then ignore us while spouting out their "we know better than you" nonsense.
Ye I agree. I still think yasuo players should be rounded up and shot but hey that's just me being salty that he's in every game. But yeah they are doing great work to the best of their abilities. I mean,they made yorick an actual champion. And I love the fact that they made the heartseeker lucian splash art less nightmare inducing immediately based on community feedback. I mean they are far from perfect but I'd take Riot over Most game companies any day.
To be fair, it's much easier to fix a splash art or two.
Game balance is a fickle thing involving several different tiers of play.
They change splash arts upon community request because they know they will make more money off of the skin if they do so. Riot has not legitimately cared for us as players for the last 4 years, only as customers.
Just because they made this splash art more generical and stereotyped as they caved in to some whiny internet kids, we suddenly have to praise Riot?
True. This other game I play promised to communicate with players to fix issues and get content we want out. So far they have only released one survey and have not said much beyond what they plan to do for future DLC. Hell, out of all the games I've played that constantly update, League is the only one that actualy goes into detail about changes in the patch notes. All the other games pretty much just say "X,Y,Z have have been tuned and other minor balance changes" for their patch notes. no mention of what the changes are or even so much as to say weather they buffed or nerfed things. Sure, Riot doesn't always come through on things that we want and they screw up here and there, but I can say they at least try to engage and communicate with the community far more then many other games out there.
