is anything ever going to be done about vayne being a duelest. shes a duelest desquised as an adc

Vayne-Soraka has a normal 48.8% win rate in Gold+

Vayne is not a duelist because she literally requires the game to drag on for more than 35 minutes for her win rate to exceed 50%. I recognize this figure may not be precise, but it gives you an idea of how late-game oriented Vayne is. She, by definition, loses the majority of her games hat end before 35 minutes.

And guess what else? She loses the majority of her games when paired with Soraka.

Vayne is super weak early game, and any kind of bullying will easily push her and a passive support like Soraka out of lane. Vayne needs to be babysat by her support or she needs someone who can carve out room for them in lane.

The Vayne and Soraka combo a couple patches ago **USED **to be nearly unstoppable. However Soraka was nerfed, and then the grievous wounds revert hit her very hard. She can no longer protect her carry against almost anything, and mid lane assassins who frequently come bot lane have a higher chance of taking one or both of them out.

If you're really having trouble with Vayne and Soraka, and honestly you shouldn't be, you can buy Executioner's Calling. I think it is a waste of 800 gold early game though since you should be able to deal with that combo quite easily as of right now.

If you aren't able to do significant damage as an assassin, then maybe that role isn't for you or you should practice it more. I'm not trying to be mean, but if you can't get them that low then that's a problem on your end. You also have ignite. If you're a mage assassin then you have even less of a reason to fear the Vayne/Soraka combo than bot lane does.

The reason the Soraka and Vayne combo worked so well was because Vayne would always outsustain even when you burst her down to almost nothing because Soraka's healing would not be effected by grievous wounds. Now the healing is effected. She can't heal her back up as fast anymore making it so much easier to assassinate.

When I'm playing a mage assassin I don't have troubles with Soraka anymore. The only thing to watch out for is ones who know how to land their E, and there are so few of those left. You can easily bait it out.

Lol Vayne late game isn't even that good

Have you ever looked at damage dealt post-game? Very rarely does Vayne do more damage than other carries. She only does damage if she can get in range and stay on the same target for multiple autos which is honestly a lot to ask for.

Cait/Lucian might not be the best duelists, but they have way more flexibility when it comes to teamfighting and thus end up usually out damaging Vayne
