One ELO Riot?

I wonder has Riot ever entertained having just one ELO driven by your ranked play? Whatever your ELO is in Ranked, it should be in norms. Because when I'm learning new champs, I'd rather learn it against my ELO - I don't want my ELO to drop as I learn new champions, assuming of course I take losses during the first few matches.

I imagine this may be a bit unpopular with some or most players. It seems like it'd be simpler if your norm ELO matched your SOLOQ ranked ELO.

The only issue is for those people who don't play ranked.

And the only way that I can figure a way around that (assuming of course somehting like this was adopted) would be if and only if the player has zero ranked games then you'd have a Norm ELO. But as soon as the champ completes their placements then the Norm ELO would be replaced by their Ranked elo.

I suppose you couldn't get rid of it completly.

Anyway just a thought.
