There has NEVER been a harder season to climb solo. On my solo lane accounts, it almost doesn't matter how well I do in lane or even in laneswhen I scale and just don't feed. There is so much gold and damage being thrown around that the game snowballs out of absolute control if I can't be in every lane at once. There was a time when you could play your favorite champion (mine was pre-rework Zac) and you could climb through smart safe and timely play. Now it's just spam TDM and snowball to inhib at 18 minutes

Of my alternate accounts the jungle account was the easiest to climb with, mid 2nd, and top was the hardest (mainly because it was Nasus only)

TLDR; you can still climb, but it is hard if you aren't playing the right champions

It might simply be caused by the meta shifting out of your favor; Zac is not the monster he used to be.

I think that;s somewhat my point. I remember climbing using many different champs but much more easily in silver. Now it seems like there are 10 champs per role that if you aren't playing you're basically trolling.

Its really not any harder than before. Maybe to get out of Diamond and MAYBE out of plat...but from bronze to gold...should be a breeze even for a Gold level player.

Maybe so! It’s just my opinion from my experience. Not facts or proof necessarily just an anecdote.
