how do you even get 9-10 cs/minute?

first 20 minutes, yes, I can see you getting 9-10 cs/minute if youre winning lane.

next 20 minutes, whenever I go farm a side lane, I almost always get "omg group mid already"

9-10 is highly unrealistic in SoloQ for about the reasons you already came up with: there´s just not enough coordination within teams to make sure the carries can farm while everyone else keeps out of trouble for 10-20sec.

Even in proplay you generally won´t see more than two members of a team be close to 10cs/min, farming is as much individual skill as it is a decission made by the team later on - there´s only one person who gets to farm the sidelane while everyone else makes sure the opponent doesn´t use the time to get major advantages.

average player gets 6.5 and below, people who get the full 6 per wave every time, occasionally roam get 7.8~8.3 ish, cs.(also back at opportune times instead of having been pushed out and forced to back) the people who get 9 are taking camps. and going to other lanes to farm the big wave.

8cs per min is good enough. the gold difference rarely matters, but "pro" players will have more on their carries because well, they generally need every little item to get the edge.

This is your "goal". You can do it easily if its laning phase and you aren't fighting, the main hurdle comes later in the game. Usually you won't be able to CS once laning phase ends, so you won't be able to do it. It is easier for competitive teams to do because they will sacrifice farm on one champion in favor of another, making it easier for them to get gold.

Even though it isn't the best way to judge yourself, my goal when I lane is to always try and out CS my lane opponent or stay relatively close if they are playing a champion that is supposed to win lane. If you can stay even or ahead of them, you are doing fine, though the more CS you have the better. Just don't die to them, as giving them kills negates your CS advantage.

9-10 cs a minute is easy if you have hacks skill.

no. Only afk pushers generaly get 8.5/11.

Generally you don't.

It's a good benchmark for measuring your CS prowess in a bot game or a lane where you're not actually doing anything to each other, but even pros miss CS when they're fighting or trading.

No not really they don't. They can get over a hundred by 10, 220 by 20 minutes. It's really efficient timing and not missing a single CS.

It's also because LCS is more boring than watching paint dry. Fuckers just farm farm farm like a nasus for 30 minutes then have one teamfight that gets one team baron and then gg.

I can't watch this shit live most of the time, I just skip to minute 30 on EpicSkillshot's vids and watch the ending because I'm not interesting in watching PvE.

Until high Elo, it is usually sufficient to get good farm in the laning phase in order to get your first item. Then you can normally snowball off kills if youre ahead, otherwise you have to farm up some more. In high Elo, where kills happen waay less often, getting more CS than your opponent is key.

I'm a Rek'Sai main so naturally my cs numbers are higher than the average top laner with my much more uptime to grab cs, but generally the rule is the more fighting you do the lower your cs numbers will be since you have higher focus you set. thats quite a large reason bronze/silver cs is so low they focus on fighting over farming. Where as in lcs they have less fighting and more farming TYPICALLY so hope it answers your question.

For the early game, you should ideally have higher cs/minute than that, since you should be getting every single CS in your lane. However, after that, your cs/minute should drop, giving you about the ideal cs/minute of 8-9. I think.

I also get 4 man ganked every 2 minutes

7 cs per minute is totally fine.

You may notice in pro play it's usually mid and/or top that get those numbers, cos top is an island and mid gets fed blue buff. Nit to demerit the ADCs, but it's normally mid/top

As for how to do it. Don't miss. Not really a question of "how do I?", more of "how difficult is it?"

Taking junglecamps/counter-jungling helps get your numbers up a bit. I really like aggressively warding the enemy red side, then stealing their wraiths so they can't do anything about it :D

push the wave past the middle of it, group for a few minutes, come back later to a huge wave pushing towards you, nom nom, rinse and repeat that's how you keep your farming decent past the laning phase
