Re: Conqueror and Fervor of Battle

  • Increase Conqueror's stacks to 6, but melee champions gain 2 stacks per second.
  • Have it grant bonus AD or AP (adaptive) per stack, like Fervor of Battle, but keeping Conqueror's per-second in combat stacking mechanic. This lets it work evenly for anyone who wants a longer fight without heavily favoring auto-attackers.
  • Reduce the true damage conversion to 10% and have it only apply to your dominant damage type, calculated the same was as Camille's passive. This part is mostly a Jax nerf, since his high mixed damage plays a bit TOO nice with Conqueror.

I believe Riot said they had Conqueror grant adaptive stats instead of only bonus AD in testing, but felt that it made the rune too desirable for tanks. I'm not entirely sure that'd actually be the case, though, since you'd be trading out the sustain and extra HP granted by Grasp. Those things add up over time to a sizable increase in overall durability, while Conqueror just improves dueling, which tanks tend to not really do much of after laning.

Conqueror

While in combat with an enemy champion, you gain a stack of Conqueror per second (two stacks if melee), up to a maximum of 6. Each stack of Conqueror grants 1-6 bonus Attack Damage or 2-10 Ability Power (adaptive), and stacks reset if you haven't damaged an enemy champion within the last 3 seconds.

While you have maximum stacks, 10% of your dominant damage type is converted to True Damage versus enemy champions. [Dominant damage type is calculated the same way as with Camille's Adaptive Defenses]

Also gives Rumble a keystone, for anyone who wanted Rumble to have a keystone.

i would be happier if it just removed the true damage part of it.

there is no counter to true damage in lane at all.

The nice thing about not being on the balance team is that I can throw any random idea I think of at the wall and see what sticks.

Or rather, that I can do this and not inadvertently draw the ire of tens of thousands of players.

Really, it's just a nice way for me to pass the time and pretend I'm using my brain for something.
