Want to know how to nerf Azir without having to actually nerf Azir?

Fix Nashor's Tooth's gold efficiency.

Nashor's Tooth is 139.94% gold efficient.

Even though Azir's main use of Nashor's does not include the on-hit passive at all, it remains 117% gold efficient on him. Considering its a rush, though, he DOES make use of that passive for last hitting while using less mana.

That's pretty absurd, and I'm pretty sure it stems from how absurd item 3101 used to be. 50% attack speed, 10% CDR for a pretty low price.

Riot went and fixed Stinger, but didn't re-adjust Nashor's as well.

I feel like every pre-season EVERY SINGLE item should be looked into, whether its reworking (completely changing), rebalancing (adjusting), or revamping (changing components+relevant stats) them.

No, this doesn't mean that every item needs to be changed each season, but they should all be generally in line with each other, and at the moment there are blatant outliers at the top item 3142 and bottom item 3056 as far as use, and some are extremely out-of-line as far as gold efficiency:

(top end)item 3115 item 3006 item 3165 (considering its counter-itemization vs sustain; put GW on another item or lower its gold efficiency)

(bottom end)item 3143 item 3075 item 3100 item 3053 item 1054 item 1054item 1054 .

Did I mention how item 1054 wasn't nearly cost-efficient enough to warrant starting? There is always a better choice.

Implying Azir needs any more nerfs when he's trash and one of the worst mids for any player except pretty much those of LCS-level. Stop crying.

Any champion that wants what Doran's Shield gives is usually better off getting a Corrupting Potion, or even a Doran's Ring+pots; I find this to be true when playing any champion that isn't Rumble or Vlad. Just mana-less mages, really, are the only people who bother with the thing, and that seems like the opposite of the intention.

What they need to do is give it a stacking damage reduction. Every instance of champion damage within the last 4 seconds reduces the next instance by X% or something. However, damage from another champion would lock-out the reduction for X seconds so it doesn't become a tool to 2v1, teamfight better, or even just survive ganks. Remove the HP, add more flat HP regen.

It could even keep track of damage like Sterak's, and if your damage dealt surpasses what's stored from the last 4 seconds, it also locks out, but for a longer CD.

It should be the tool to mitigate Teemo, Quinn, Riven, Fiora, etc harass/all-in early on. A tool to survive 1v1 laning, specifically.

Something you use to survive until level 6, but is cost-inefficient enough to not provide a significant edge in up-front fights

I don't think item 3115 is oughta control. It has to be super efficient because it's not a popular buildstyle.

item 3116 on the other hand..
