When are we ever going to address being one of the most toxic online games.
Since nothings funner then seeing another player say "I'm tilted - I feel like feeding"; then continue to run down the lane suicideing (Ending the game 0-14). Yes, I get the response "Just report" - but, I feel like lately the ban feature isn't doing it's job. It's way to often things like this happen and what I noticed from that game; was that it ended up making three of those players toxic (Even though they normally wouldn't be).
I'm noticing games like Overwatch (Been out only a few months) has already accomplished so much more then our support team has in over 6 years for player moderation. I'm curious of why were so far behind in that department. We have one of the worst reputations in online gaming for toxicity and that title doesn't seem to be going away nor even addressed for that matter.
I've seen a few posts here and there stating there goal is rehabilitation/not punishment, but my question is; Is it really working? Even banned players are openly encouraged back under the pretense "Your welcome to try again" including a bunch of other systems in place with the sole purpose of protecting offenders/giving them more chances.
I've been playing 5 years now and every year it seems to be getting worst as the game grows in popularity. If it's getting worst - isn't the current system not working?
