Every champion rn that is strong are mainly deaths dance or bork users. Just to go to show how if you show adc in 2k17 rn. It's a meme of the past when lethality was broken and even adcs used it

It's not crowding out every other boot, that would imply the other boots are actually worth something.

Treads suck for CC, swifties no one thinks about, lucidity competes with other CDR, mobis is mobis, and the only other boots that are good are berserkers, but the only people who would buy that get enough attack speed elsewhere.

Swifties are good in the situation where they should be bought, which is vs Slow heavy teams Mobis are good Berserkers are good Lucidity boots are good Mercs suck yeah

The only (strong) outlier here is Tabis, and Mercs being buffed doesn't stop them from being bought the most

There's good reason why Tabis are always rushed by both top laners AD vs AD matchups over other items, and it's not because they're balanced

Because damage oriented champs want to build damage, not defensive items.

You dont see a yasuo rushing chain vest vs a riven because it wouldnt make any sense for his gameplan (nor he scales with it)

I really dont know why cant this forum admit that tabi is overtuned, the only boots that can come close to their powerlevel is berzerker with its 136% cost effectiveness, but EVEN THEN ppl still build tabi over it, and its not because the other options are weak, the only boots that you could argue that are weak is mercs, and even then its not that far behind.

Tabi and mercs when in proper powerlevel arent good enough to be bought on champs that want damage, historically, the fact that assassins, adcs, supports, and even mages build it nowdays its an obvious red flag.

It needs to be more around its passive rather than a armor stat stick that comes with the passive for free.

I suggest 12% AA reduction back but in turn reduce its armor to 15, so the item is all about defending against pure AA champs, not every single AD champ in the game.

Boots are suposed to be small boosts/sitational (like when you think about building MR you dont think "i have to rush mercs", you think about visage or another full item), they are not supposed to be the best item in their category, but its funny because due to its price and slot effectiveness (boots slot) tabi is easily the best armor item in the game.

And living longer at the cost of one defensive item that leaves out stats they can get elsewhere for stats they wouldn't ever get allows them to survive and do more damage. It allows for duels to actually happen.

Yeah because item 1031 will not build into anything offensive and any item that it does build into costs more than completed boots. Since boots don't really have much of a cost difference in actual gold, swapping them around in your build isn't even that difficult.

If I can cover just some basic defensive power through boots so I can survive just a second longer when dueling, then I will trade my AS boots for it. It doesn't really hurt Yasuo because he can just make up his AS loss with other items after his crit items. Hell, if the dude gets ahead enough, he can buy a fucking Triforce.

if we were in 2012, yasuo would have rushed chain vester against riven when behind

back then defense allowed you to survive when behind so you may come back in the game and it was strategic

no matter if you're a carry or not, if you want defene you buy defense, YOU DO NOT BUY OFFENSE and get defense at the same time

you get tired of the forum, but it doesn't change anything

What's the point of getting treads when every strong champ in the game and champs you play against are mostly aa heavy champs. Hell I even build tabis against fizz cause of his W, same for those cancerous onhit kennen tops.
