How does the ARAM selection algorithm work?

Because there's no way its actually random.

I get a random champion from a selection of champions, guaranteed. About 20ish champions is all I ever get. Probably 60+ champions I've literally never gotten in ARAM ever, in 5-6 years.

What's the actual logic behind it?

It is absolutely not random, but nobody outside riot knows.

IDK i play only ARAM, own all champs, and I play each champ at least once per season

you are an anomaly then, because I've talked to quite a number of people and most people have had the same experience I have.

So, at your best guess, how many unique champs you think should be in 10 ARAM games? (accounting for rerolls/trades) And how many unique champs actually appeared in your last 10 games ?
