If We Are Going to Give Assassins Meaningful Cool Downs...

Can we make Leblanc R not have a cool down of 40/32/24 seconds? Getting killed, running back to lane, and then having her QRE you over and over again without you being able to do much is pretty annoying. I would say Zhonya's is a decent option or even Quicksilver, but her ultimate's cool down is less than half the cool downs of those items.

EDIT: Im not suggesting NERF LeBlanc, just increase her ult CD and move power else where because, for the people she isn't countered by, you just kind of suffer in lane against her. She either counters you and snowball kills you, or you counter her and... well... self explained.

Leblanc gets to have that sort of mobility when she dies in a strong breeze, any easy locdown champions will just destroy her Amumu Pantheon Maokai or if she gets rooted by Morgana LuxVeigar . lb is annoying, thats why riot doesn't want to give her any meangiful buffs, i mean if you think she is annoying then just look back on the days when Talon and Leblanc had silences

The problem is only three of those are Middle Lane champions and only one is strong these days. Veigar is a hard counter sure and Lux is just strong these days. But what if you aren't playing Lux or Veigar?

Look at this way. Leblanc's R version of her Q deals more damage than Veigar's R deals against all but possibly the enemy Middle Lane champion. That would be fine, except her R has a longer range and half the cool down. LeBlanc can just RQ and the enemy takes the full blow as well. Veigar, unless the enemy team is extremely bad and just lets Veigar to what he wants, has to land his E before getting into range to R. I'm not asking to nerf her mobility, damage, or anything like that (although if her RW is considered part of her standard mobility then you are kind of proving my point that it's on too low a cool down). I just want it to not be up immediately after she just killed me with it.

brand, ahri, malz, anivia, morgana, zed, talon, katarina, lux, diana, kassadin. The better question, really, is who are you playing that actually loses to her?

You appear to be under the thought that I want LB to be nerfed, which is my fault. I simply want her CD to be longer, perhaps with some power adjusted elsewhere.

Your reply doesn't seem to fit with what I posted. Who are you playing that loses to LeBlanc?

My usual Middle Lanes I play are:

Karthus Veigar Velkoz Xerath Ziggs

She counters all those champions (if she is good)

Karthus is the easiest possible matchup, even for a no skill LeBlanc-Player. She has enough ms to dodge his q's and Karthus does not have the range to outpoke her. Only with a perfect wall and the other skills spammed he could be able to do any damage to her (if she has no w, which is really rare when she maxed it out)

Veigar can be strong, but an experienced LeBlanc will be able to play around his cage. Only his ult combined with his cage and a w is effective, and especially in midgame veigar is able to oneshot LeBlanc easily.

Vel'koz is also really effective if played well. For the opponent it is a dodge-minigame. He is good because he can push the lane very hard and LeBlanc is bad at farmng under the tower in early-midgame if she do not wants to waste her mana/spells. When LB engages with one w (and uses her qre to do damage), spam every spell, the ult is able to slow and to hit her even on the return bad (same with the other spells)

Xerath is same as vel'koz, but seems easier to dodge. The Xerath player has to use his pushing-advantage and his stun with good reactions to win the lane. Only an experienced LeBlanc could handle this matchup (if the Xerath is good).

Ziggs is another easy matchup for LeBlanc. His only advantage in the laning phase is his q poke. His waveclear is not extremely good in early game and LeBlanc can easily harrass with her q+w. After two items the ziggs can be more useful than a LeBlanc because his ult is soooo strong in a teamfight and the other abilities do aoe-damage.

The most information I wrote is meant for the laning phase. Later every mages will be more effective and they offer more utility than LeBlanc. All of them do have more damage and teamfight potential, not to mention their insane waveclear. Vel'koz is also effective vs tanks, LeBlanc is definitely not.

you dont need to be a hard counter to win a lane, you just have to be smarter then lb and vice versa.

The reason why LeBlanc needs this cooldown on her ult is the fact, that she only has her spells to do anything. I.e. Talon and Zed are ad assassins, they have a decent waveclear and their ults have a complete different role than LeBlanc's ult has. Meanwhile, she needs to w+r to kill a minion wave, while Zed needs a few aa, and his e (etc). Talon is very similar, his w is very effective. LeBlanc does not really have an ult. She has four spells, and the fourth spell does only mimic another ability. Nerfing her cooldown will make the most matchups which are already hard nearly impossible. And look at her winrate, it is not that high. Talon and Zed have about 51-52%. LeBlanc has 46-47% and a lot of bad matchups. Increasing the power of other parts would change nothing. The other spells also are on a low cd. Buffing them could make that worse than it is.
