Is Cassiopeia really that hard to play?

This is the only champ I've probably never seen played in mid, even after 500 games. I tried to carry my way out of bronze using Annie but find myself losing to counter picks in matchups.

Seeing how nobody has ever played Cassiopeia before should I consider buying her to catch my opponent by surprise.

She is very challenging to play and if you are in bronze i would recommend not picking her

Cassio isn't too hard to pick up But her mechanical skill cap is really really high If you do pick her up, don't play the (hyper agro pressure lane faker style) style, just farm for mid late game.

As one who has done both, if you don't know how to pay cassio and go agro lvl 1-6 (You will get ganked and die

She's often referred to as an "ADC-mage" due to her mechanical intensity. She was a favorite of scripters (much like 5.0 AS Kog) as when played perfectly she can weave AA's in and put out insurmountable numbers.

However, this is not the case for 99% of players (myself included). Cass has absolutely crushing DPS and sustain long-term if she's able to keep a target Poisoned and spamming E on them. She is very immobile (without summoner's and accurate Q's) as a tradeoff, and her W having a minimum cast range makes it that much harder to keep sticky targets off of you. Her teamfighting potential and Ultimate are second to none, check out Faker playing Cassiopeia in NA (mid fekar) and look at the intensity she requires and delivers when played well.

A fed Cass is nothing to scoff at, as she will, pretty much, 1v5 an entire team with her kiting - or at the very least bring multiple members to their knees and force incredible amounts of pressure. She's one of the few Champions in the League that can actually stand toe to toe with Ryze.

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Fuck no. She is so easy. She's gotta be the easiest champion in the game. I'm a diamond cass one trick though so perhaps my view is skewed. Learn early mana management with her and prosper.

She used to be when missing her Q kept you out of doing damage

Now, you miss a q, you can still use E and kite around like normal.

She is not punished as hard as she used to be. I
