Season 5 Potential Threats

TOP

Singed Singed With Righteous Glory, Singed has become extremely viable and will probably be a really great pick. His only true issue is Ryze, but thats every top right now really.

Darius Darius In the same way that Singed could be really good, giving Darius a gap closer item with beneficial stats will most likely make him a decent choice in Season 5.

Olaf Olaf Yet another champion viable, Olaf is now just the super turret diver. Enough lifesteal to live for days and theres no way you are outrunning him since he has crowd control immunity. Good luck going up against him early game.

MIDDLE

Heimerdinger Heimerdinger Here me out on this one. Ok, Heimerdinger was significantly buffed with base health regeneration due to how health regeneration works now. So theres that, BUT THEN I REALIZED!item 2139 There is no cooldown for the true damage on towers from damaging them. AND THEN item 3060 THIS THING! Giving a minion a huge amount of armor, health, damage, and immunity to magic damage. So what this equals out to is HEIMERDINGER IS THE KING OF PUSHING! Get Elixir of Sorcery and Banner of Command, upgrade a minion (ideally cannon) and then UNLOAD ON A TOWER WITH TURRETS! 75 true damage per round of turret shots. While the tower is focusing the upgraded minion, your turrets will have fun killing the tower.

Azir Azir With an increase in objective play for Dragon and Baron, a 40% CDR Azir can solo a Baron or Dragon without taking damage due to the way his soldiers work. This means that Azir can immediately take Baron and Dragon when they spawn if the enemy team is not careful enough to stop him.

Zed Zed item 2140 Elixir of Wrath has thrown Zed a little over the deep end, allowing him to heal himself FOR EVERYTHING he does. This makes his burst a lot better and gives him passive sustain while poking.

SUPPORT

Overall, supports are very varied and no one has no Season 5 obtained strength over the other. However, some supports are a little stronger than others currently. These supports being.

Taric Nami Alistar

ADC

Kalista Kalista Kalista is undoubtedly strong right now. From what I HAVE SEEN, she is a very good ADC. This will most likely change when people figure out a way to deal with her.

Graves Graves Graves is overall a really good ADC at the moment capable of dealing high burst damage and high sustained damage through his spells. He is also one of the most mobile ADCs in the game with Quick Draw and is arguably as mobile as Kalista with a Randuin's Omen for the rare few who pick it up.

Tristana Tristana Tristana is still an overall well balanced and safe pick with a great late game. She also counters Kalista pretty hard since she can pretty easily both avoid and keep up Kalista due to her range advantage, Rocket Jump, and Buster Shot.

JUNGLE

I have divided this list into the two best champions so far for each type of jungling

GANKING

LeeSin Lee Sin Still is and probably will forever be the top dog of early ganking simply because of how he is designed and what Riot wants from him.

Rengar Rengar Rengar is an incredible ganking champion early on due to his ultimate and his superior burst damage compared to most junglers early on.

CAMP FARMING

Warwick Warwick Warwick can stay in the jungle for extremely long periods of time due to his natural sustain. He can also clear extremely quickly due to his high attack speed boost.

Shyvana Shyvana or Fiddlesticks Fiddlesticks Shyvana has always been extremely good at clearing the jungle and is still extremely good. She also has a naturally high defense due to her passive. Fiddlesticks has the highest natural sustain of any jungler and can easily solo Dragon due Dragon's lack of interrupts. Due to his E, he can wipe camps clean too.

INVADING

Nunu Nunu He is incredibly good at Invading since he can kill the large monster of a camp extremely quickly due to Consume. He also is the only champion that directly benefits from Invading due to his Consume's passive, allowing him to ALWAYS have a Well Fed buff no matter where he is on the map.

Chogath Cho'Gath Cho'Gath is the same case as Nunu but to a less extreme. He can invade MUCH MORE QUICKLY than Nunu earlier on and still be able to handle the enemy jungler slightly if they show up, but he is much weaker as a jungler late game than Nunu and cannot invade multiple camps like Nunu can due to the cool down on his ultimate.

COUNTER-JUNGLING The difference between this and invading is that with this you plan to kill the enemy jungler instead of taking their buffs. The main difference here is these champions have a lot of sustained damage and/or burst early on and can escape quickly after killing

Shaco Shaco Shaco fits into this category perfectly since he has above average early game burst and is very slippery. Shaco lives and thrives in the enemy jungle and can be an extreme threat early game.

Khazix Kha'Zix Kha'Zix is very good counter-jungling since has sustained burst and gets a mobility reset on kill. This makes him a perfect counter-jungler.

Of course, this is based off only PBE experience and one day of the live patch. This will probably change as people learn to play in Season 5, but we will see. I'm pretty sure Heimerdinger will stay though unless they make an exception for him with Elixir of Sorcery.

Heimer is Lord. Heimer is Love.

Just tested in a custom; Elixir's true damage doesn't apply to Heim's turrets.
