How come this doesn't work?

has ranged poke, multiple scalings, and is a pretty good assasin.

How will she push the wave without being harassed? Minions block her Qs. Not saying it can't work but there's a reason why Midalee hasn't been viable/meta.

I was looking for input like this...so no wave clear, would you think that's it?

I'm not a midlaner, let alone an assassin player, so I wouldn't be the best person to ask. But I know especially in high elo that wave clear is important. Granted, many assassins don't have good wave clear options, in favor of bursting their target. I also remember that Khazix Riven and even Pantheon used to be able to mid. But the ability to push in your opponent & roam bot was the way it used to be. I imagine she would struggle against Ziggs Xerath who also have long range poke that can also dmg minions for pushing and have a tool when getting ganked. She might also fall prey to other assassins mid unless rushes a item 3157

Mid lane you have a hard time clearing waves because you're stuck at range last hitting whilst most mids hit with ranged harass often clearing minions while also hurting you. you can use melee you clear fast but if the enemy mid nearby it gives them the perfect opportunity to unload on you. Assassins will wreck Nidalee mid, her engage pattern is very straight forward and predictable and she can't get in on enemies without landing Q or being melee. Most mids are going to wreck you in lane so you're only options are to roam. if you're good at last hitting and roaming you can make things happen but most time it's a very bad idea to take her mid. Her kit is too reliant on element of surprise to be a good mid pick.

No safe wave clear,extremely easy to doge spears, and falls off the face of the planet late game. She needs reverted to pre jungle nidalee. (this doesn't mean pre rework)
