How to beat Swain?

oom him. early game he has very big mana problems and if he is spamming skills trying to push you out of lane he wont be able to keep it up for too long. Also, out CS him, his farming is very unreliable so you can gain an advantage through that. Abuse his long cooldowns. if he misses his snare, either harass him or take a moment to get free cs.

all u need is rush a executioner's call and boom there u go

• He can't CS well under tower.
• Immobile, prone to ganks
• Mana heavy. If you're playing top lane, an early specter's Cowl helps to sustain through his poke.
• Mid-range mage. Weak to long range mages, but strong against short range.
• Not amazing against burst.

Executioner's Calling is not a good item, 90% of the time. 2s of Grevious wounds mid lane nerfs his sustain in prolonged fights, but you can't refresh the proc if he lands Nevermore. Typically a Hexdrinker rush if you're AD / the ROA/Abysall combo for mages.

Watch for jungle ganks. Swain has respectable CC, junglers will gank consistently for him. He also has surprising damage output, don't die to flash E-Q-Ignite-AA.
