I use a laptop from 2006 that runs the game just fine at mediumish settings.

Anyone that can't run the client boggles my mind.

I can run the game on medium and get over 60fps. The client just starts to lag extra hard for me after a few games. The games themselves are fine it's just the client

my computers from like, 2015 and cant run the new client because its a shitty premade best buy pc i cant alter. woo

The game runs fine for everyone, but the client runs like dog. Look, I got an ultrabook with a crappy Core M and the game runs fine 30-40 FPS, but the client lags and runs like complete garbage.

The low spec mode does NOTHING.

Unfortunately this has nothing to do with your internet. Checking those boxes will make the client (what you log into, where the store is, etc.) run smoother and have less stuttering. This will not affect your ping in-game.

I have a fairly unimpressive laptop and I can still run the new client and the game just fine (or at least no worse than with the old client) with only the first box checked.

I have a nice PC and don't need them, but I couldn't use the settings even if i wanted to. Whenever I check them and click "Done" it doesn't save.

The game and wifi is fine, it's just all the new animations in champ select that make my computer slightly freeze up before entering. So, I end up joining queue late and missing the blind pick lane calls.

I have an i5-2500k @ 4,5Ghz and a Gtx 1070. The new client lags for me in champ select and uses way too much CPU in idle. Now that they will completely disable the old client (which i still mainly use for that reasons), I'm fucked.

By any chance, do you frequently update your drivers?

Because I got an i7 with a GTX760 and I have absolutely no problem with the new client.

Yes. I am playing a plethora of games as well and no other launcher (steam,blizzard,uplay,origin,ncsoft) has anywhere near the usage i get with the new lol client. http://i.imgur.com/6FiscHm.png This here is a spike i got in champ select. And WHATEVER the case, such a spike should not happen. Ever. What bugs me even more is the idle usage though.10-20% CPU usage for some launcher on idle is just not acceptable. Especially as this is the NEW client which they told us years ago should SOLVE performance problems, not create them.

my pc broke so im using my old one which is like a decade old because i didnt want to spend money to fix my newer pc ill just safe it up for my next pc instead

and even though its over a decade old, zero lag
and it runs it fine at 100fps everything works perfectly

If you cannot run the client/game then perhaps don't waste your money on crappy best buy pc's

i play this game everyday with the new client on a lenovo pc using on board video and audio without any problems, does the client take a second to load after a game? it sure does. do i have lag problems anywhere else? i sure dont
