It takes longer to find a game in normal draft than it did in the old team builder.
I think it's time for Riot to finally admit that there's a problem and release a statement about their plans for the new champion select.
Between dodges and normal waiting times I've waited for 30 minutes a handful of times, and typically I have to wait for at least 3-5 minutes.
-
Bring the client to the front on banning/picking
-
Guarantee the primary pick at least 50% of the time
-
Prevent players from getting the same role as "fill" twice in a row
-
Allow players to queue as "Fill except XXX"
I don't understand what's hard or complicated about these requests, or what could possible be a reason NOT to add them. Right now I think the last 3 suggestions would significantly decrease queue times, since more players would feel enabled to queue as some form of Fill.
These things have been requested even before the new champion select was released, and players have continued making threads on the boards and on reddit with these requests. To me, these requests are significantly more important than the addition of solo-queue, and the continued absence of a Riot statement or actions feels as though the team responsible is ignoring the community entirely.
(Not saying Riot is ignoring the community, I love Repertoir and KateyKhaos they're amazing, but the specific people in charge of the new champion select kinda are.)
