How to buff Ivern!

Give him 2/2.5/3/3.5/4% health damage on his autos in brush. So you walk up to overextended enemy. Put down brush. Auto, then Q when he walks back or after dash (targeted not effective since you in bush unless they blow ward), keep autoing and boom you do like 20% health damage + Q and E with ally. Build him full tank maybe like Rod or something but use your survivability to kill enemies not damage. So full tank and % health autos in bush. Easy fix, hopefully not broken with bork and/or bloodrazor but then you really squish so might work really well.

His obvious power spikes would be lvl 3, 6 and early and mid but still have purpose of vision denial and engaging in teamfights or following up CC. Would that work?

Why encourage him to do damage?

Because in this game if you do not do damage you do not get picked. Thus people loose motivation to play him and the SOLO que coordination will kill all his chances at being used in the game unless in super high elo.

Plus his Q will be used as a gank follow up and that is very healthy for lower elo because wow do we suck at following up on an easy kill.

Except everyone knows he'd be weak in low coordination elos. He's supposed to be powerful in heavily coordinated teams.

He's not meant to do much damage or carry himself.

He'S a support jungler and I think it's how he should be, PBE is bringing a lot of new items that will make his gameplay and his build path much more healthy. He's a very good champion if you have a team that knows how to play with him. .

Yes let's make it so we can get another high damage tanky champion with % health damage. Wooo....

Actually that's a pretty good idea. His kit would be solid if he actually did some damage and it would make his bush drop ability stand out a little more. Or maybe add a DoT effect or something.

Here is my response to a similar post on the PBE community.

  1. Add bonus resistance for allies in Ivern's brushes or something alike (or see the last point) [ARGUABLE] ;
  2. Fix Daisy's bugs (teleporting and such) [ESSENTIAL] ;
  3. Make Daisy affectable by items such as ardent censar, Talisman of ascension or Locket of the Iron solari [FUN] ;
  4. Make Ivern instantly pop his W range passive when he spawns a brush on himself, it feels clunky that he needs to stay 1 or 2 seconds (not sure) in the brush before he can get the range attacks [ESSENTIAL] ;
  5. Improve the the Q jump indicator, I happen to bait my allies into death way to often [ESSENTIAL].

6-ish) If we were talking about reworking W. I'd say make his range attack have an actual impact (well it does but it doesn't feel like you're doing much). Something that would work like Fiora's E : ''When Ivern enters a brush his next 3 attack becomes range. The first one slows the target, the second one deals bonus damage and the third one heals him and his allies near the target.'' Has X seconds cd. I feel changing his passive into something more interactive rather than just making his AA range and clunky would make him feel very rewarding compared to what he his right now.

But it is just a slight change to W. It doesnt seem OP it isnt hard carry at all still links with his identity just solidifies consistent sustain damage which is the goal for his W is it not?

Yeah it could be a good buff to make his kit more healthy, that cannot be argued with. But I'd reinforce his supportive playstyle rather than upgrading his damage.

Yeah i totally agree. But he has tons of cc. This would encourage him to gank more. And make extended trades as a support go much better. Helps his playstyle. Defines him and should increase playrate

I just watched a game from the 31st with VEG using Ivern jungle against SAJ and I gotta say used properly he's pretty crisp. Shared buffs coupled with stolen counter jungle buffs and his shield slow (70%?) completely shut down SAJ early on. Pretty cool game to watch.

Yeah i like him a lot. But would the % health buff make him picked more and broke?
