I'm getting really tired of people saying "games are about 25-30 minutes so the pacing is fine".

There's still an absurd amount of snowballing.

Games are rarely close due to matchmaking and autofill, and ones that are close quickly snowball off of one event, some of which are coinflip (dragon soul).

The last 10 minutes of a game aren't potential comebacks, they're usually just waiting for the inevitable that was foreshadowed in the first 10 minutes of the game.

Most early game champions don't fall off hard enough. Lucian Darius Qiyana Talon Shaco With the insane amount of importance placed on the first 10 minutes, this is a big problem.

Powercurve needs to be adjusted for many champions, even beyond the ones mentioned above. Many "late game" champions are too bad early to really shine. Some just autowin for reaching 2 items if they aren't far behind, even if they just afk farmed at a detriment.

League is just a clusterfuck of balance decisions with no real integrity. The balance team balancing based on u.gg stats, basically, is really fucking lazy and has been a disservice to the game for the past 5 or so years.

But don't you enjoy deciding a winner in ten minutes and then spending another 25 minutes dying while watching /ff calls fail? That's the funnest part of League.

Problem is you think Riot is balancing... They even admitted they don't give 2 flying fucks about balance in this game. Straight up admitted it themselves, AND they re branded their 'balanced team' as "game designers".

THERE IS NO BALANCE TEAM... literally... there isn't one...

Pacing has definitely felt bad ever since RIOT interfered to adjust average game time. League of Legends had a great game pacing. It was f**ing awesome! And then they messed with it because "reasons" and game pacing has felt like trash ever since. IMFHAO. Even pro games the pacing is trash to spectate compared to what it was. Just one of many reasons I spectate very few pro games anymore.

Games SHOULD be ~40-60m long.

This allows for late game champs to get to late game. It allows everyone to get to full build and it really is about skill.

The games last 30 min? Half of it is team keeping you hostage. Because they want to int more. And you cant say a thing.

they are spending all their time and money and staff on their new cheesy phone games with 0 skill required to appease the new younger mobile gaming crowd.

TFT is a joke of a game and requires no skill at all, all you have to do is find their newly hidden patch notes on their site and follow the weeks broken trend

in all honesty if a game goes beyond 35 mins im mentally checked out after that.

the sweet spot is 25-30ish mins for a game

Wanna explain why you think shaco is an early game champ? When he can't function without items like AT ALL?

My issue is late game champs scaling too soon and being forced into the meta. You seem to have the opposite problem.

For example, aren't adcs supposed to shine only at 4 items+ except for a few that are early game adcs like MF, Draven etc. Isn't ryze supposed to be late game? Well he fucking solos anyone at 2 items. And even at tear+ catalyst he pretty much can hold his own against almost anyone with the same amount of gold.

The pacing is not fine if champions snowball hard but have to fight objectives at 10/0 to end the game

BrokenRayquaza2/17/2020, 3:34:23 AM1 votes

We'll see if you quit before 10 mins because "the ending was foreshadowed" then of course your going to lose after 30 minutes

Seems like the people got what they wanted when I told them league was changing for the worse

JustA kleo2/17/2020, 2:58:41 PM1 votes

i dont even consider qiyana "to fall off", actually the champ gets stronger with every minute. at first you can at least survive her shit but once she has 1-2 items its over.

RyzeRework2/17/2020, 5:57:05 PM1 votes

I mean that's what the game is suppose to be and advertised as... if you want longer games play dota

vgamedude2/18/2020, 1:05:53 AM1 votes

No. Games are fine and "late game" marksmen are still king even in games that are apparently short. So early game champions aren't somehow broken.

I personally don't want 40 minute average games. It's the reason i don't and can't play DotA regularly but can usually play some league SR.
