  1. targeted dashes Akali Alistar Diana Ekko Evelynn though it's small Fizz Illaoi see evelyn Irelia JarvanIV though it's an ult Jax Jayce you get the idea

  2. (usually) basic abilities that do a shit load of damage in a single instance with few items Camille q reset Chogath everything DrMundo q mostly Fiora passive Caitlyn passive Draven draven Irelia qLeeSin ult %health Riven her Zoe sparkles

there are more but the crossover in massive damage and a targeted resetting dash has always rubbed me the wrong way. why is it still a targeted dash, it already has: base damage, real good scalings (jhin would kill for an 120% total ad scaling and probably has) on hit procs like aa damage, sheen 200% ad scaling, that's upwards of 400-500% efficiency on a single skill, I've seen and been irelias with just a triforce and a doran's blade and pressed q on an enemy and just annhilated them with 700-900 damage bursts.

it's not right. please I don't care if you keep the damage, I don't care if she gets more than one dash stored up at a time and the mana cost is really low so she can spam it. just make it a line skillshot. reasons why to do this. it would increase the skill floor. it would allow her to misplay for once and not instadelete the carry no matter how many supports she has. it would allow people to perhaps play against her oppressively strong early game it would allow her to have a more fluid playstyle, now that she can more freely dodge out of the way of things like skillshots it would fit her theme. dancing around her opponent instead of bum rushing them every chance she gets. that's not graceful at all. make it a skillshot please.

It's a double edged sword. On one hand, sure, she has to "land" a skillshot to hurt you. On the flip side, you just gave her a seriously powerful mobility tool to use in all scenarios. Now I guarantee that the amount of utility she gets from an ultra mobility spell in all scenarios outweighs the few times she missed an enemy with her dash. Now then you could impose restrictions, such as "Cannot dash over terrain" or "Must dash towards champions or else it only goes 150 units" but then you're just gutting a skill and molding it into your own special version of balance. I personally would take targeted dash over allowing her to dash away from danger, ESPECIALLY when she has her disarming ult and her damage reduction channel, noninterruptable.
