  • Trinkets were a mistake and dumbed down vision game and investment for vision
  • Support buffs were a mistake and started Riot embracing the meta and balancing around what players chose to pick instead of the game itself. If people chose to go botlane support and not cs, there was meaningful decision making strategy-wise and drawback. No need to give them free gold and nullify that drawback.
  • Every manacost buffs on mages, fighters and ADC's (and there were tons, some random examples I have in mind include Nasus Q/R, Tristana Q manacost removed, Lucian dash manacost down to 0 lategame) and dumbed down completely resource management. This thing about manacosts is clearly not just a mage problem.
  • The idea that adc's are supposed to be all be tankmelters is fundamentally wrong. Some adc's were designed around tankbusting (vayne kog) and some weren't. ADC's have always naturally scaled well in DPS because resourceless autoattacks, but never has it been set in stone that those should be especially better against tanks. If anything, ADC's oneshotting each other is healthy, it forces them to get defensive items to fight each other without too much risk and that reduces their feast/famine aspect. Don't get me started on their itemization and the fact they're gonna get true damage. Oh my god.
  • Overabundance of %health ESPECIALLY ON TANKS is the worst idea ever. %health should and was a lategame stat restricted to champions with weak early and good scaling (DrMundo Nasus KogMaw Vayne). Generalizing it on a lot of tanks under the pretext they do too much damage to squishies only led to them dominating other melees because they can go full tank and still get dmg. And that leads to bruisers needing buffs. Flat base damage is fine and easier to balance.
  • Overabundance of true damage is unhealthy af. Fuck I like playing Yi but I know that his true damage is unhealthy af. Fiora's the same. Conqueror's the same. It was way more fucking balanced with normal damage against tanks, when the tanks in question didn't have %health damage so overall tanks would lose the trade anyway because lack of damage.
  • Rework of targeted CC in favour of lower CD skillshot CC was a fucking huge mistake. Oh yeah, targeted CC is annoying and you don't feel outplayed by that old Sion Q/Taric E/ Annie Q/old veigar E (which was technically not targeted nor instant but felt almost like it). But what is it replaced with? Spammable cancer CC that's only landable on melee and completely enhances the power of mobility and range. Dumbed down positioning with no longer that much emphasis on " I shouldn't be anywhere near this guy until I get banshees or GA "
  • Should I say Rageblade was a mistake? Well it's balanced in this world of insane damage, retarded mobility and spammable CC but it would be broken in a normal world. Just like insane buffs to champs like Garen, Mundo, Nasus, Darius, Warwick compared to their original version and those are still balanced (or even weak lmfao) nowadays because of the ridiculous overall powerceep.
