Ranked team builder is a terrible idea

I would rather have someone play a role they think they are good at then one they know they are bad at.

Seriously. Let someone play the role they want every time. Practice makes perfect. If people could queue into the role they want people would be able to focus on that role and a few champions within it to give them options and let them become better players.

This would do a number of things: Lessen bickering in champ select. Provide more time to organize team composition. Optimize player skill within chosen roles providing more synergy in team fights. Duo queues would be able to claim bot lane or a top/jungle mid/jungle setup without issues. Less trolling/toxicity from 'not getting what I want' syndrome.

Additionally they could even go as far as adding in a 'recommended bans' selection before queuing. Allowing people to choose 3 champions they would like to see banned so once the team is in champ select the team leader can see the list of what champions their team would rather not play against.

I actually agree with OP, just not about QQing about ADCs. I think ranked team builder is a horrible idea.

Part of getting better at the game is understanding the whole picture. Practicing every role has made me significantly better at my main role, which is jungle. It's helped me understand match ups and which lanes are going to need a helping hand earlier. It's helped me understand which enemies are more vulnerable and when. It's helped me give tips to my team to try to help.

Plus, I think a lot of people will change their minds when they're sitting in que 10 minutes looking for a support. And I can understand why people dont like to play support. You have the hardest time making an impact on the game. You're in a duo lane sharing XP and you're getting almost no cs. I'm not saying support can't carry, but the odds are stacked against you. This doesn't change the fact that I've practiced support because getting stuck with support is inevitable in ranked.
