Support mains, what are pet peeves you have against your ADC's?
Im not a support main but ill just like to ask.
I was supporting a Jinx my last game and boy she missed like 5 cs in a row it really made me cringe, I hate when ADC's cant cs

When you buy relic shield and they don't let you use it
in particular this is an issue for thresh, since he can't use the execute
You should E the minion waves or auto attack all the minions. The ADC might miss like 5-10 cs because of you, but if he cant be bothered to let you use the Relic, you better bet I will find another way to use it. I dont really care, I most likely wont get him in my next game.
If he doesnt let me use it, thats his problem, it affects him more than it affects me... In the end, I am gonna get the gold out of the procs, he wont get the CS he misses. When I carry ADC's in the bot lane, they HAVE TO let me use the relic or I wont be bothered to help them. You wont play as a team, then I wont too.
I don't like when my ADC lets my Pink Ward get killed. Like, 3 feet away the melee support killing my Pink on our side tribush and he lets it happen for free.

But mah CS Valk... if I don't get those two CS while he's killing your ward, that's 70 gold... I know the ward costs 100... but those two CS Valk, I needs it.
pet peeves against the ADC.
pet peeves against the team in general
pet peeves against the ADC.
- diving in for a kill when it's not safe. (you should let me be the fight initiator more often than not)
- Not picking up notable CS.
- Not allowing me to CS when I'm running relic shield (especially if I'm playing thresh)
- not ever freezing lane to our advantage. (or knowing how too)
- Backing when the lane is pushing against us (especially if your not low on health.)
- running out of health or mana before the Jungler comes. (not cool)
pet peeves against the team in general
- Being relegated to wave management. (While they mindlessly chase kills)
- Being the only one placing down wards. (especially when the enemy owns our own Jungle)
- Being flamed for Kill stealing. (even if it was some how unavoidable, or necessary to secure the kill)
- Being the only one on the team concerned with objective control.
- Being expected to be the Teams tank on support level gold. (cause we got teemo top and nid jungle)
OMG thIS, ThiS THis THIS! SO much THIS is what pisses me off as a Main support, especially that last one
(same goes if you are the only AP champ, with support items and least gold, you still get flamed if you "accidentally" SECURE that kill because "ignite 'might' have done it" or because you haven't got Frozen heart or iron locket yet)
I was once lulu bot, only AP AND had to build tanky cause we had lee and riven top and jungle. running this mix mash of items that works on lulu (though when silenced by Cho was useless for the entire duration lol)
The Tank, AP, Support lulu build, still won that game somehow with the miracle life saves and surprising DPS and constant utility
As someone who mains support. One thing I really cannot stand is when I or a gank from jungle/mid sets up an easy kill but the adc is too busy with CS. Then will complain about ksing in team fights.
Ksing in general is something I really cannot stand, especially if it's a team fight. Sorry my AA, or overpowered skills killed the enemy. This doesn't just go for adc because I see it pretty common for mid players. And when the enemy does escape you get blamed for now killing them. You are damned if you do, famed if you don't!
Trying to earn gold with
and the opponent with
gains more.
When ADC's are overly passive. Idgaf if you're overly aggressive. Just dont be passive cause that'll make me pissed off .
Support main here. Makes me frustrated when my ADC doesn't last hit. Like for exampe if he just attacks the minions without actaully trying to last hit. Oh and also when they think they're really strong and can 1v2 vs the enemy botlane and then blame it on me (the support) for not being there when they died. Also when I run back into the enemies to distract them from killing my ADC but they still end up going in, dying. And you know that feeling when you make an epic save but then the champion you saved comes back into the fight dying.. Oh, the struggle man.
reporting me for picking bard
they tunnel vision on my items for example playing blitz adc: blitz get ardent. me: I have no shield or heal what will i do with it.
adc: What the fuck did you just say about me, you little bitch? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I've been involved over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I'm top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just precision the likes of witch has never been before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The stormthat wipes out the dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over hundred ways, and that's just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to entire arsenal combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Cops and I will use it to it's full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have know what unholy retribution your little "clever" comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held you fucking tongue. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, you goddam idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You're fucking dead, kiddo.
Ones that can not dodge attacks like blitz grab, thresh, leons stuns, and keep dieing.
And ones that do not play safe when you go ward or back to town to buy, thinking they can 2v1, then die.
Ones that can not dodge attacks like blitz grab, thresh, leons stuns, and keep dieing.
And ones that do not play safe when you go ward or back to town to buy, thinking they can 2v1, then die. well i had a sivir who was getting pulled and poked by blitz then flamed at me becasue i was janna. and or i had a adc who accused me of stealing cs when i had relic shield ....... or if i was killing the cs under the turret while my adc was at the base......
The adcs that are too passive or afraid to fight when we're in position to kill or force them out.
Not a support main, but I don't like when adc doesn't follow up or understand key moments to make action...like fighting when they get a shield, hitting enemy when they are cc'd, and whatnot.
When they constantly ping for an engage but do nothing when you actually stun/hook/knock up someone OR do nothing but farm and ping for ganks/engages.
ororor When they leave lane randomly to help their duo partner in a different lane without telling you.
OH or when they get super agressive when I leave to ward. wtf tho
Too passive when we could be zoning the other team out of cs.
Too aggressive and keeps dying even when way behind.
Pushes lane constantly even when way ahead and we could be zoning them out of cs, or when behind and keeps dying.
Refuses to back because he/she doesn't need to when he/she could buy items that could let us zone them out of cs.
Doesn't use the trinket.
Stays in a lane that he/she has pushed up to the enemy tower for a very long time even with almost no health or mana.
Buys something really stupid on the first back like 2 cloaks of agility or something like that.
Doesn't attack and move well at all.
Doesn't cs well enough.
Never attacks the enemies no matter what. Especially bad when they keep not following up things I started that we could've won.
Gets hooked. This one can really suck because with some champions there may be nothing I can do about it.
Never roams even though it's definitely far enough into the game that they should be roaming.
Does not stay with the team so there's no way to make them useful since some assassin just keeps killing them even if I try to save them since the rest of the team isn't there.
Blames me for everything even though they screwed it up.

When they tell me what to do. The only words I understand are passive, aggressive and go ward.
This. Like, don't even tell me to go ward. I'm the support that starts 2 wards and a coin, believe me, we WILL have vision.
I hate when adcs place their trinket in the river bush. Odds are that I have vision on their mid/jungler and know if we're safe or not. No, really, jungler was just top and mid is still mid. We'll be safe for the next thirty seconds until I decide to place a ward. Please save your trinket for bottom bushes so we know that Blitz is about to ambush.
My biggest pet peeve is quickly growing to be when they complain about killsteals. I'm just mashing spells in a desperate attempt to keep you alive in the jungler gank. I'm actually sorry I got a double, but I'm just glad you're alive!
I hate buying Relic Shield now. As soon as the adc gets even a pickaxe, they stop letting me take minions. Or they get mad at me because I missed the cannon minion and went for a caster instead. Well, the last two cannon minions I tried to get, you autoed them before I could, even though I procced Q on Leona for the instant auto. At this point I don't care how much gold I get, I just need SOME.
Finally, as a general team thing, not just adcs: 'omg, we have no vision, this support is awful!' You know I'm 3/3 for wards, right? And I'm placing more as I go and destroying former wards so that we have vision in the immediate area around us. Or when I play Sona support, I rush Lich Bane and buy sightstone when I deem it useful. 'You need sightstone.' 'But why. I have one ward in my inventory, one placed in tri and one in river bush. And I'll buy more wards when we back.' 'But you NEED sightstone. '...k.'

This, but I would also add "now shut up and take your free farm".
Well, I don't actually add it in game because it would start a downward spiral of toxicity, but it's what I'm thinking, or in extreme cases muttering at the monitor.
This is also why I hate supporting Draven, because his champion mechanics mean that he actually does get penalized for getting "only" assists + free farm. Which it's really hard for soloq people to control.
Also: when my team refuses to clear massive waves crashing into our towers. Most supports are terrible at doing this themselves, so I have to decide whether trying to do it anyway is worse than having no one do it, or not as bad.
I mainly use Sona to support, and you should be rushing
first and
second. SS isn't just so you can get vision. It's so you can get your sweeper as fast as you can. The faster you get that item, the faster you can remove wards and enable ganks when you otherwise couldn't. Frostfang is for the extra gold. Just rush it and sit on it for max value. Then do whatever.
But yea, if I was your adc (which I main adc), I'd be pissed at you for not rushing a Sight Stone. Supports should nearly always rush that thing, and should strive to save up anywhere from 800 to 800 + (gold item upgrade cost) before their first back so they can return with it.
You're assuming I don't buy sweeper at some point just because I'm still purchasing regular wards.
And I hate Frostfang so much. I never complete it, I keep it for the gold generation and sell it lategame. That's my personal preference, and you're not going to tell me I'm a terrible Sona because I dislike the item.
I'd tell you you're terrible if you were terrible. I would obviously get pissed off if you went back to base with over 800 gold and came back with anything that wasn't a Sight Stone. Doesn't mean you're bad. Just means they can ward safely and we have less wiggle room for warding longer than we otherwise would, so instead of "bad", that's just "not smart". But no, I would not randomly flame someone on the lol forums and say they're bad.
You don't finish Frost Fang. You sit on Frost Fang. It's only 500 gold to make it, but it doubles your gold gain per hit on turrets or enemies. Also possible to not do so while sitting on Spell Thief's, but since it's only 500 gold + it gives Sona much needed mana regen, I just do it. Contemplating not doing that and going for
instead, but that's what I've been doing up until now.
The point is that you should have a Sight Stone as soon as possible so you can get a sweeper as soon as possible. That's not a "Sona" thing. It's a "bot lane" thing. This is the reason why I tend to have to ward the river bush myself, whether I'm adc or support. You know how weird it is when we have no vision while pushing a wave or freezing in the middle of the lane and I'm the one, rather than the support, that has to stop and run over to the river to put vision in it while my support just...looks? Then I play Sona later, and not once do I see the adc care to light up the river bush while my trinket is down. Vision's extremely important, but for some reason I can't trust anyone to know that unless I know them in person.
Hello, my original post says I'm the support that starts 2 wards and a gold income item. We will always have vision on riverbush, whether I have sightstone or not.
You can get pissed all you want, this thread is about what pet peeves I have for my adc as a support main, and I listed them.
Those two wards don't last THAT long, let's be honest. A good bit, but not long. Also, your own survival is put at risk without pots.
If the enemy gets THEIR sweeper before you, what are the odds of your vision holding up without getting a sweeper?
I mean, all I'm saying is if this was an "adc mains, list your pet peeves" thread instead of supports, instead of what I typed, I'd say "Supports that don't ward the river bush + supports that don't buy Sight Stone if they can afford it on first back". You're basically getting mad at adcs getting mad at the number one thing an adc would get mad at outside of blatant feeding or afk'ing.

1)As much as you want to argue that 'you need sightstone asap!' I'm shocked that you're saying 'those wards don't last that long'. You relaly can't say vision is everything and then try to say that starting with wards is bad. And I don't really have any trouble not starting pots. I don't place a ward until at least 3 minutes (unless the jungler is known for early ganks). That gives me until 9 minutes before I'm out of wards. I have gold quints, I have plenty of gold generation to either rush a sightstone by that time or just buy more wards. Honestly it's more vision than the supports I see that don't buy wards to begin with and just rush sightstone first back. Seriously, if we're winning lane by poking them out, I often see supports come back and come back again without even one ward, because they're so busy saving all of their gold for the sightstone. You know what I do? I tell my jungler they have 0 wards, free ganks.
I just place... another ward. You seriously don't understand how ward-happy I am with or without sightstone. I have more problems with them placing a pink (adc, jungler or support, whichever) because it's really risky for me to take it out on my own. In that case I place a deeper ward and let our jungler know where the pink is so he can put pressure taking it out or give me backup and I'll do it.
But I'm STILL buying wards every time I back. And usually about level 7 I'll trade my warding trinket for a sweeper, generally the same time most people have a sightstone anyway. I just don't see why it matters as long as I'm still warding. And because I don't see why it matters, I don't really care if adcs like you are getting pissy because you think you can dictate my build order.
Btw, I bought Frost Fang on my Sona support last night because you suggested it. Still hate it. I'd rather spend my 500 gold on
or
and upgrade that into Mikael's asap.
Yea, just ignore the Frost Fang thing. I did state that I was going to try not using it myself. However, the Sight Stone is actually extremely important.
With that said, it's still way more efficient in the long run to build it and be done with it, rather than buying more wards at camp over and over again throughout the match. SS gives you 4 potential wards, so you can stay in lane or out roaming longer with more potential spots for vision. Holding a ward or two is nice, but in the long run, you won't be able to constantly run back to buy more wards over and over. Holding a SS allows you to casually drop a good deal of wards on the map as you go, and even have a spare one just in case.
As far as simply having wards when you need them at the most cost efficient rate goes, it's plainly better to get a SS asap rather than spend an extra (invisible ward cost x invisible ward count) on visible wards, only to need a SS later, anyway. Unless you're buying 3 wards every time you back, there's no real reason to not buy a SS, and if you are, that's WAY less cost efficient than buying a SS.
I'm not saying this as an adc main, anyway. I'm saying what the support main that taught me how to support told me: Rush SS, switch your trinket for a sweeper. If the other support doesn't do that, they're bad.
Sure enough, those subtle tells he tells me about bad supports tend to be true. >_>
Considering I frequently hit full build before my adc does, I'll continue doing things my preferred and 'less cost efficient' way, thanks.
I DO buy three wards every time I back. Which is ONE less ward than the sightstone. And you have to return to base to recharge your sightstone regardless so
but in the long run, you won't be able to constantly run back to buy more wards over and over.
doesn't really make sense.
If the other support doesn't do that, they're bad.
And I'll continue being 'bad' and buying wards and not building sightstone until I'm ready. Instead I'm buying mana regen to keep my adc healed and buying ap to help poke the enemy out of lane. You know, beating the enemy support that rushed sightstone out of lane because they're going oom trying to heal and have 0 damage.
I don't really care if you approve or not.
a) You rarely hit a full build. If you don't count enhanced SS and boot enhancements, you only "sometimes" hit a full build. Besides, adc items are HELLA expensive, so I wouldn't expect an adc going full build in most matches unless they're straight fed.
b) As far as cost effectiveness goes, assuming you buy 3 visible wards per back until you buy SS, you spend 225 gold per back. In about 4 backs, you already spent the money you'd spend on a SS, or even upgrading into a RSS...on singular wards.
On top of this, a quick look at your match history shows that you can't even afford to buy 3 wards on every back. Sometimes it's 2. Sometimes it's 1. One occasion shows that you even sold a ward. Why go through all of this when you can just get a SS and your sweeper during laning phase and not have to worry about buying greens until 15-20 minutes into the game, especially if you still end up buying the dang SS? It doesn't add up, it doesn't keep the map lit up, it doesn't allow you to get proper vision control tools quickly while itemizing yourself, and it doesn't allow people to safely split push, steal jg farm, cross the river, or even walk near a dang bush. So that thing that "didn't make sense" actually does because, in the long run, you don't always get the ideal scenario of buying 3 wards, and you definitely shouldn't be running back for more every 2 or 3 minutes to buy more unless you're barely escaping team fights again and again or you just hit some big cash and need to buy, but at that point you should just buy the dang SS already.
Meanwhile a smart support bought their SS already on their first back for 800, and outside of pinks, that's all they're gonna spend on vision. Every time they go back, they get 4 more charges to toss around, and to boot they have a sweeper to wipe out what could possibly be your only ward on the map, or 1 of 2 of them. Which sounds like a better spot to be in?
Like, I'm a guy that doesn't main support + has to share his support rune page with his mid-laner page, so I don't get to run things like gold income...yet my Sona's stats clearly outrank yours. Literally 4.55:1 to 3:1, so your thing of "I need to buy mana regen to keep people healthy" isn't the best argument, seeing how the only that isn't healthy, but rather dead, is you yourself. You can easily just refocus on your mechanics to make up for buying the SS first over the mana regen item, and thus mitigate the need for one enough to not rush it. I mean, until the mana regen nerfs hit...but that's a different dill pickle...
You may not care if I "approve", but this is just advice from me to you. It's less about my approval and more about your improvement. I just don't want to be the guy stuck with you or supports like you with that type of attitude towards vision while I'm adc'ing. I'd rather just support instead.
I'll be honest, I'll sell a ward if I see I'm 50gold from sightstone, so I can get it immediately. I'm actually curious where you got that information though. Like really, where do you see that I sold items? I didn't know that site was capable of that information.
Nvm, I see the match history. Interesting.
Yea. Didn't want to accidentally say something that turned out to be bad info again, like that Frost Fang bit.
I rarely have issues with my ADCs, but I occasionally have to support a problem player. It's annoying, but at least I can generally rely on my other allies and focus on supporting them in the mid-late game skirmishes and teamfights. Everyone loves have wards and utility given to them.
Another issue can be when ADCs (or allies in general) don't allow you to use your Relic Shield stacks. Personally, I tend to ping minions that I want to take (or I want my support to take) when one of us has Relic Shield. It doesn't always work, but it seems like a simple method of indicating I want that minion or You can take that minion and it's pretty easy to figure out.
When they have no idea how to trade, so we basically lose lane no matter how hard I carry.
When an ADC would rather let a kill get away than have the support get it, or calls KS every time they get a kill even if it was pretty much all them, I got a triple as a support in lane a few games back and the ADC got so salty they turned into a stick of ADC Jerky. Some ADC could be AFK at base from level 1 and reconnect just to cry KS if like a Nami ever gets a kill.
Or when you engage and your ADC just keeps farming, because then you're fucked.
Something else I thought of. Someone once told me I sucked because I was last hitting minions when he recalled. I wasn't even pushing, just last hitting. 'Omg stop farming! Supports aren't supposed to get cs ever!' 'But you're not even in lane! I'm not going to let this free gold go to waste!' 'You suck! You're an awful support!'
When they don't friggin use their warding trinket
^ This, every ADC will pick it, few will every place it.
Engaging as soon as I leave lane to ward and complaining about KS. Everything else I can get over almost instantly.
Not focusing the safest target/the target both of us can actually reach/the target who is actually overextending.
Also known as diving too far forwards hunting for a kill they won't be getting alone when I can't follow for whatever reason.
As a Sona user, it grinds my gears when people tell me how to play the game. Whether or not it's me being too passive, or me using Sona at all, the number one thing I hate as a support is when I get shit from my adc during the early game, only to have them be bad as holy hell's coal mines during the mid and late game.
I had a Graves that did that a while back. I told him I wasn't in a position to be more aggressive than I already was. He got salty, but JUST FOR HIM, I made a flash play that got him a kill on the enemy Ezreal. He was so salty about that comment he refused to communicate with the team (or even coordinate with the team) and we lost because he threw our advantage that I used my flash to make, causing our mid/top laner (forget if it was an ally Fiora or ally Diana, but it was one of the two) to tilt hard as we started losing team fights.
Also had a Jinx telling me how to do my build. Tell me why I had a higher kda than she did by the end of the match, with me going 7/4/26, the enemy Graves going 10/4/6, and her going like...8/9/x? Why build tank if I'm dying on nearly a 8:1 ratio + all of Sona's usefulness scales from ap? Yet she feeds and just can't shut up about me using Sona in a ranked game.
Just let me play my character. It's not like it's support Fiora...shit...
Edit: I don't main support. I second it. I still have a good deal of Sona games, though...and a Nami game.
Not a support main, but...
Me: I have low health and mana, but don't want to leave you in lane.
ADC: You spend too much at the back-line.
We later lose.
ADC: You're not a very good support.
Me: I'm trying. They have a Leona.
i dont have that many issues with my adcs but i hate when
the adc complains about ksing when i had to keep attacking the enemy adc or support because i thought they were going to kill my adc
when i tell my adc to freeze the lane because i ran out of wards and i want to wait on backing until i am able to get sightstone and they keep pushing the wave and the jungler comes and proceeds to murder us.
or when im playing blitz or thresh and i want the lane froze so i can zone them from cs when we have a lead.
Single handedly winning lane with a strong early harass champ (Sona/Karma), resulting in ADC flashing into enemy turret at level 2 and feeding first blood, rather than just taking the free lane I just gave them.
Executing a perfect skill-shot through a minion line with Thresh/Leona/Blitz/Naut, and ADC runs away because they're not sure what happened.
Overall, just failure to understand how to properly take advantage of a winning lane, or knowing win conditions.
Oh, and Avarice Blade + Boots on first back when they had enough for BF Sword.
When I'm playing Sona and am super stressed trying to poke Thresh/Blitz without getting grabbed, and then the adc stands in the open spot in the minion wave to trade/cs...
my biggest peeve is when teammates don't help with vision and then bitch about it or get caught out going deep. no matter what role you are, you should try to keep up a pink for at least half the game and get that trinket upgrade as soon as its convenient(unless you're buying sightstone or using the scrying orb, then putting off the upgrade is reasonable.
My main issue is I go to ward and they engage on the enemy, die, then say "WTF WERE YOU".
Im not a support main but ill just like to ask.
I was supporting a Jinx my last game and boy she missed like 5 cs in a row it really made me cringe, I hate when ADC's cant cs
Edit: Forgot 16 and it's a biggie. Oops! :P
