while being able to build ad items which are vastly superior to ap items right now, and also a targetted ult.

Because he is harder to play than Fizz, and actually has counterplay.

His harass in lane could use a nerf though.

How zed harder to play than fizz. As zed you are never in danger of getting zoned out from farm while as fizz you have absolutely no ranged abilities so you can get poked out if behind. As fizz if you all in without zhonyas and use all your abilities and fail to assassinate your target, you will most likely die. As zed you can use all your damaging abilities in the all in, and your ult comes with a free escape so it NEVER matters if you fail your all in.

Right now zed is literally fizz 2.0

Zed doesn't have a knockup, so he can't initiate. In fact, he has no hard cc whatsoever. His invulnerability is also more akin to Yi's than Fizz's.

Yeah because you've ever seen a Fizz fail to assassinate a target that wasn't being helped by a Janna or a Lulu. He doesn't even need his ultimate to Assassinate that's how reliable his Assassinating pattern is, he is as twice as forgiving as Zed is, with his overloaded troll pole and Zhonyas.

You can't compared Zed's laning phase to Fizz's and leave out how easy it is to kill your target as Fizz and how little outplay potential you have against a Fizz compared to Zed, and how stupidly reliable his assassinating pattern is compared to Zed's.

Zed has no hard CC, and has twice the counterplay Fizz has.

Classic thread by a biased Zed hater, only focusing on the strong points Zed has, while ignoring everything else all Assassins have over him. As i said, Zed's laning phase could use a nerf, he is a little overbearing in lane, but that's about it, i hate facing him in lane but comparing Zed to Fizz while ignoring every bullshit thing Fizz has is a shitty argument.
