I don't normally complain about champs being too popular...
But this is not OK.
But this is not OK.
Looks like it's that time of year...
This stat is completely false and Lucian is even more busted
You're right, it's down to 54% now. What's your point?

Why are you taking into account his midlane pickrate?
He has a terrible winrate there, he's just a liability to his team, while he has 48.3% pickrate as ADC.
Lucian has 53.4% yet you don't say anything about that?
Nice bias there: Lucian, Ezreal, Corki and probably Kalista all deserve hard nerfs, that chart is ridiculous, those guy have insane winrates and everyone else is trash tier compared to them.
http://www.leagueofgraphs.com/champions/stats/adc/diamond
But you'll probably tell me MF having 47% winrate with stupid low pickrate is as balanced as Lucian having 50+ while having almost double the pickrate of Lee Sin.
I don't care nearly as much about Lucian's popularity because he doesn't particularly affect what champs can be played simply by being popular, similar to Thresh and Lee Sin. They don't force champions out of play simply by being popular. Blue Ezreal on the other hand does. That is my complaint. I don't give a fuck about popularity in a vacuum, but I very heavily care about champions that warp the meta around them when they're very popular. Ezreal is just the latest example. Before that it was Vayne, then Jinx, and then Tristana pre-rework.

Lucian singlehandedly makes Sivir, Jinx, MF, Twitch, Kog and Vayne unplayable, he actually affects the ADC role enormously.
Blue Ezreal doesn't affect anybody, every single ADC can play in lane vs him and he doesn't warp the botlane meta in any way. If anything, he warps jungle/top meta (can't pick kiteable champs vs him).
It's cute that you think Lucian doesn't make anyone obsolete, since when he was strong in S4 he was pretty much pick or ban for the whole season and you couldn't play anything else but Tristana vs him.
Season 4 Lucian and Season 6 Lucian are 2 very different champs. The current one isn't nearly as strong of a laner, but scales better. The current one snowballs way harder thanks to CDR friendly itemization. The current one doesn't bully any adc out of lane anymore.

Lolwhat, he bullies Vayne, Kog, Sivir, Twitch and even MF if he is good (super easy to dodge the Q and really easy to get out of E, can't land ult on him unless he's plainly retarded).
He gets even just one kill and you're donezo, if he has Janna then you might as well FF because shield + combo and your HP goes down to 1/2 at least in the span of 1 second.
Do you know why Ez and Corki are so popular right now?
Because they are really the only ones who are as strong as Lucian once they complete 2 items, and Kalista is pretty much the only ADC who doesn't get bullied by him.
But yeah, Ezreal, an ADC with a very weak laning phase who needs time and items to scale, surely crowds out other ADC picks because he overpowers them so hard in lane he might even outfarm them by 1 cs if he's good /s
Is you reading comprehension really this terrible? I never said Ezreal bullies other ADC picks. I said he forces champions out of play simply by being popular. I never said who. You already said it yourself: he pushes kiteable junglers and top laners out of play. Why you would choose the least charitable interpretation possible of what I said is a mystery to me, especially when you've already stated the far more plausible, and obvious one. I can only conclude you just want to attack me personally. And in that case, I'm not going to waste any more time on you. Lucian hasn't been bullying adcs as a whole since his passive got gutted at the end of season 4 and he doesn't shape the meta by being popular. Blue Ezreal turns his team into a kite team automatically just by being on it and forces kiteable melee champions out of the meta. Thats why I care about how popular Ezreal is and not Lucian.

That's why Udyr, Shyvana, Skarner, fucking VOLIBEAR, Rammus, all have stupidly high winrates?
http://www.leagueofgraphs.com/champions/stats/jungle/diamond/by-winrate
Facts don't agree with you, he's being picked just because he is the only ADC who can stand a chance against Lucian or Corki.
Because he can't kill them. It's not Ezreals fault that people pick stupid low DPS mid laners and junglers all the time with Ezreal and wonder why Blue Ezreal + Burst champs can't kill these beefcakes. Blue Ezreal is still a situational pick that requires a proper team and he still counters kitable melee champions. The fact that people build dumb teams around the Ezreal does not change this. Pick actual sources of DPS on your team to go with the Blue Ezreal and watch those bruisers get melted without being able to do anything. Less Zed, Lee, Viktor, Ahri, and Elise and more Yi, Yasuo, Cass, Vlad, Kayle and Jax.

But people don't actually do that, so he doesn't crowd out kitable top-junglers: he may do that, but in the end he doesn't: the reason why he doesn't is irrelvant since he still doesn't make picks obsolete in the end.
You're saying Blue Ezreal is picked a lot, and it prevents kitable top-junglers from being played, yet they are still played, and they still win a lot, so what you said is not true.
You are making suppositions wich are not backed up by facts.
I mean what you're saying definitely makes sense in theory, but in the end it doesn't work like this in practice as you can clearly see by all those jungle winrates.
Hell, UDYR, is winning a fuckton vs Ezreal.
He forces them out when people actually build proper team comps. The fact that people regularly don't doesn't change that fact. If the enemy is dumb enough to pick Elise jungle and Zed mid to go with a Blue Ezreal, then by all means, pick Garen and dunk those kids. But playing someone like Shyvana against a Blue Ezreal when he has high DPS teammates is an utter nightmare. Failing to properly execute the counter by picking terrible team comps doesn't suddenly make it not a counter, it just makes it a poorly executed one. And considering how OP tanky DPS champs are against low DPS teams, it's not surprising that their winrates are high right now.
You want to know why all those Beefcakes have such high winrates right now? Because Lucian has a 54% pickrate, Ezreal has a 54% pickrate, Corki has a 31% pickrate, none of them have the DPS to reliably kill bruisers on their own, and their teammates more often than not pick champs that don't make up for their weaknesses. The 5 most popular mid laners are Zed, Ahri, Leblanc, Lux, and Viktor. All of them have bad DPS. The 5 most popular junglers are Elise, Lee Sin, Nidalee, Rek'sai, and Graves, all junglers with bad DPS. The fact that those 3 adcs wins over half their games with such a consistently bad supporting cast is a testament to just how strong they are right now.
[{quoted}](name=Slamurai Jack,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=AcEaPdhL,comment-id=000100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000,timestamp=2016-02-03T22:23:34.298+0000)

lol...so you actually agree with me when i say Ezreal-Lucian-Corki are all broken.
I'm confused...since that's what i'm saying too since 1 week.
Add Kalista in there.
I'd argue that the game is too heavily slanted towards burst atm and Thunderlords is the largest propagator of that. I'd also argue that those 3 adcs are the best options you can pick against the current ensemble of assassin mids and squishy playmaker junglers. It's hard to tell which direction is actually works. Do the popular adcs drive the meta in other roles? Or do the popular champs in other roles determine what adcs are viable? If winrates are to be believed, people should be dropping Elise, Lee, and Nidalee and picking up Udyr, Shyvana, and Volibear, but they aren't. If those champs were to become popular, you'd immediatly see Jinx, Vayne, and Trist become most popular.
2 words: hard engage.
2 words: Good luck.
I was about to say kite and peel were the two words but ok.
it looks fine to me honestly. High pick rate but the win rate stays relatively close to 50/50.
If it was something like 56%+ win rate then there's something wrong.
You think a 54% pickrate on a specialist champion is ok? Blue Ezreal is supposed to be a counterpick against teams weak to kiting. He's being picked pretty much every game regardless of either team comp. And he still wins over half the time.
[{quoted}](name=Slamurai Jack,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=AcEaPdhL,comment-id=00030000,timestamp=2016-02-03T20:13:59.543+0000)

Because blue ez has always been strong? 51% win rate. Slightly over half. It's not as bad as you make it sound it is. He still lose his game 50% of the time meaning he can still be outplayed/out scaled.
And specialist champ? wtf does that mean. Is league turning into tumblr now with all these categories?
The point is that you're not supposed to just pick blue Ezreal whenever. It has great strengths but also very crippling weaknesses. With that in mind, it's supposed to be a situational pick. But it's apparently become strong enough overall that it can be picked without concern for team comps on either side. Point is, Blue Ezreal isn't supposed to be an every game thing, but that's what it is right now and he's still performing quite well in spite of his overuse. Remember when Vayne was the most popular adc in the game and was picked without consideration of lane opponent or enemy team comp? This is the same. If Vayne is performing above average when constantly picked outside her niche, then she's blatantly OP. Blue Ezreal is the same.
What makes you think his blue build is situational or not an every game thing? Blue build is his main build. IBG is picked on Ez 70% of the time Plat+ (http://www.probuilds.net/champions/details/Ezreal)
Just because hes an ADC doesn't mean his main build has to consist of IE, BT, PD, and/or Trinity and if it doesn't that must mean something's wrong
I'm saying it's supposed to be situational, but it's strong enough right now that you can just play it every game. Even when Blue build was popular in the past, it was never an every game thing. You still saw a fair mix of Triforce and IBG Ezreals. I've only seen 1 Ezreal without IBG in recent memory and he actually went Rageblade. I haven't seen a Triforce Ezreal in so long. Triforce should really be Ezreals most common item but the weaknesses of Blue build aren't relevant enough atm to keep people from building it nearly every game.
I know, and I'm saying it's not supposed to be situational. Triforce doesn't have to be his most common item, and there's nothing wrong with his blue build being the "main" one and Triforce being situational.
58%... holy crap.
