Three Classes That Should Be Considered For Pre-Season Update

So the last few class updates have made mid-season and pre-season changes seem more of a nuisance than an anticipated update like it should be. I still have hope in these class updates because even though many.... and I mean MANY champions have been left feeling awkward and tampered with (like Morde, Skarner, Quinn, and Malz that gave them unnecessary gimmicks or stripped them of their core themes) there are still champs that survive and come out of a class update in great shape (like Darius, Cait, Cass, and Kata that stayed true to their concepts while giving them some unique and fun tools). TLDR; Class updates are a hit and a miss and Riot's batting average sucks.

So what classes should we expect and why? - Divers, Enchanters, and Juggernauts

  1. DIVERS - Aatrox XinZhao Nocturne MonkeyKing Diana JarvanIV So divers are at the top of the list for two reasons, 1) Riot has confirmed that divers will eventually receive a class update and 2) they are the class with the the most champs the community deems problematic or binary. So these champs all do the same thing with only a few variations in between and once they've dove in they're not really left with anything to do but hope they had enough burst damage to finish off the target. A diver class update could allow these champs to do more once they've entered a fight rather than just delete one enemy champ.
  2. ENCHANTERS - Janna Lulu Soraka Karma Sona Zilean Enchanters are your heal and shield supports and while Riot has done a lot with how supports work as a whole they have never taken the time to address a specific group of support's issues. Currently, enchanters are in a decent role. I feel like I can contribute to the team, however, enchanters itemization and thier differentiation is lacking. Now you may say that every enchanter is unique and they're not all the same but when you always buy (support item + sight stone + locket + redemption + boots) the lines begin to blur. That's one item that you get to differentiate yourself from the enemy support and I think these items are so strong to compensate for just how weak some enchanters are in comparison. If Janna needs a massive heal and a huge shield to keep her team alive then Janna is not where she needs to be.
  3. JUGGERNAUTS (Part II) - Nasus Garen Volibear Trundle Olaf Udyr We all know how the first class update went and it wasn't pretty, but juggernauts are still in need of the class update the first one promised. While a Nasus wither or a Trundle pillar is basically a death sentence and when Udyr, Voli, or Garen is running at you with their empowered autos you shit your pants just a little, still these guys aren't really a threat these days. And before someone says "LOL OLAF IS OP YOU SILVER SCRUB" I think juggernauts are strong but their kits are very basic and so it's easy to counter them. If their kits had some more depth and made them unique from one another (literally the entire reason why class updates were made) then maybe we would see some more juggernauts in higher elos.

Don't ask for another Juggernaut class update. Your triggering my Patch Traumatic CertainlyT Disorder.

im not sure if theyre going to do a class rework at all this preseason.

this time around its gonna be the big rune/mastery rework. basically deleting runes and masteries entirely and replacing them with an entirely new system from scratch is going to take enough of their attention.

I'd prefer if they just waited until next preseason. Fixing the balance nightmare that is going to be the new rune system is going to be a nightmare and we don't need else on top of that.

from what i remember they said they were considering ether divers or assassins and then ended up going with assassins so my guess is there doing divers next.

I think they said they weren't going to be doing another class update next preseason. They said they want to do Rek'sai, Shyvana, etc. style reworks for each of them and those who still need a VGU afterwards (and likely they know they will even before doing the update) are just getting a nudge along the way.
