So, Lee Sin could avoid a rework but Vel'Koz can't? Why?

What does make Lee Sin so special that when he was announced for a rework and people were against it Riot listened and didn't touch him but Vel'Koz will still be reworked?

What is it?

Is it:

  • The strong fanbase?
  • Riot recognizing that they would be making a mistake?
  • the #LC$BIGPLAY$?

What makes this guy so special in relation, not only with Vel'Koz, but with every other champion that as soon he's seeing slightly less play or slightly underperforming he gets hit with the buff train?

Vel Koz is FINE he is regualrly played and kicks ass.

To hell with you Rito you guys are screwing up this game to the point it is fune for no one but jobless stoners and caffeinated teenies

Hell with this uninstall incoming......

Rito must have something against anyone who plays support with any other champion than Soraka.

RIP ZYRA RIP SHEN RIP VELKOZ

You're oversalting the dish. We can't serve that to a customer.

It's cause he jumped over a wall and got away.

There is a post somewhere that discussed the overhauls they want to give a lot of the mages, too many of them essentially do the same thing. Most of the junglers out there do the same things (gank) but do so in vastly different ways. Lee Sin hasn't needed a rework because he does what he's intended to do, though sometimes too well or far too poorly depending on game state/champion state. I can give you a number or reasons why you should play lee sin over other jungle champions, however I can't give reasons as to why you would play Vel over.. lets say Lux.

Not all other champs get buffed either, especially if their kits suck or are way too good (poppy). Just gotta hope that as Riot learns what makes champions fun they make positive changes.

Then you're not trying hard enough. There's an obvious trade off between damage and range for Lux and Vel. Lux has far safer play. Vel'Koz has signficantly more damage.

You look at those two champions by the numbers and tell me what sets them apart. I'll tell you, Lux is just better. She has overall better stats, is much safer, and has a passive that will get more consistent damage off throughout the game. When there aren't enough reasons to pick one champion over another it needs some help, sometimes that means a kit rework.

Hello? Lux' passive stops getting significant use by Mid game since she doesn't have time or the luxury to get close enough to proc it without getting punished.

Vel'z has no such issue and does True Damage.

Lux trades this for more Utility, safety and support.

vel isn't getting reworked and lee sin doesn't need it.
