Yeah me neither because it never came back and Solo Q is probably in the same train.

What is.. Tribunal? Is that the new champion RIOT has been teasing?

Tribunal, the champion that gets stronger the more toxic chat is!

It'd be too OP.

Well it was already confirmed that Solo Queue is gone forever. I commend any forum posters for still bringing up solo queue because Riot wants us to forget about it and move on with them in their shallow, casual sided "competitive" changes for ranked so good on you for anyone out there if you are posting "solo queue needs to come back" every week, I'm not being sarcastic either because personally I couldn't keep that up. If Riot sees that they have less profit at the end of this year than last year then maybe they might want to find out why people aren't giving them money or playing their game as much and maybe they'll listen to the core complaints/suggestions their consumers have been saying for years, or you know they could just blame Overwatch's success.

The reason people stopped complaining about Solo-Q is because GhostCrawler recently explained why it's not coming back. #Stayuptodate

You can probably find it on Google. Search "GhostCrawler and his failures". He basically turned a GhostCrawler hate thread into a Q/A. Clever guy.

He's not the first to try to explain what was up with the cancelation of Solo-Q, though. But he's definitely the most qualified. Another Rioter tried to explain it ages ago but people buried him in hate and Riot never tried again after that, until GhostCrawler.

Hasn't stopped it from continuing to be a hate thread though.

You must not have read that deep, because from my point of view, it did.

People stopped hating on him and instead started asking him serious questions. He squashed about 60% of everyones complaints and most people stopped bashing him deeper in the thread.

That doesn't make up for all the bullshit though. It's all well and good to explain oneself, but not if they don't do anything about it...

They did do something about it, that's why they're not bringing Solo-Queue back. It's just not the outcome the boards wanted.

As GhostCrawler said, they can't have both Solo-Queue and Dynamic-Queue in the game, because it will split the Queues too much. And they can't scrap Dynamic-Queue because it will make 3/4 man-premades unable to play in ranked at all. The only option where everyone wins in one form or another is to keep Dynamic-Queue and to not bring Solo-Queue back.

Furthermore, they can't bring Solo-Queue and Dynamic-Queue back to see which will win in popularity, because even if Solo-Queue did win by saaayy... 53%. That's still 47% who won't be able to play their Queue anymore. And that was one of the biggest 'Solutions' people had against Dynamic-Queue.

GhostCrawler said they want to make a new, better matchmaking system, and that Dynamic-Queue is the start to that. I don't know about you, but I wasn't a fan of Solo-Queue so I don't mind a refined Dynamic-Queue.

They lasted this long without it. Before that we had 5v5 Ranked, oh and that archaic gamemode known as "Normals" for premades. Just saying. I don't buy any of his arguments or justifications, not any of it. And judging from a lot of the responses there is still plenty of bitterness abound from all this crap.

They can keep digging this grave as much as they want, I won't be around any further to help. I've reluctantly stuck around long enough, I got my Solo Emblem for the pure sake of preventing being called out. If Riot wants to continue dicking around they are free to do so.

Meanwhile I'll take my money elsewhere. About the only interaction I'll have with LoL is checking in every now and again to see what the latest round of fuckery is, along with how much deeper the grave has gotten.

Just want to point out how terrible your logic is. "Why do we need a Yorick rework? I mean, we've lasted this long without it." "Why fix a bug from the games launch? I mean, we've lasted this long without it."

It's not about you, it's about the games future. If League kept everything the same and changed nothing the game would have died years ago, Solo-Queue itself was archaic and only showed individual skill, it didn't show a speck of team play, and in a team game that is unacceptable.

Solo-Queue had to go for the same reason the ELO system had to go, it was a system from launch and was severely out-dated. Individual skill should still be shown but it shouldn't just be about which team had the better players, and anyone could agree with that.

MrWasjig1 votes

Just want to point out how terrible your logic is You're missing a little thing known as "nuance". I'm not applying the same train of thinking to champion reworks or bugs. I am allowed to argue different points for different things, people are more complex than "This or that".

I'm not asking LoL never changes that would be absurd, if nothing changed then broken champions would stay broken etc.

The fact that people have been so desperately clambering for individual skill recognition since DQs release is a testament that people are still after that sort of thing, regardless of SoloQ's age or potential archaicness. DynamicQ ultimately makes Ranks totally worthless in it's current form, worthless. Because there is no distinction, even with the insipid emblems they introduced, nobody will look back on Season6 kindly or say "Yeah everyone totally deserved their ranks that season!" what with boosting being far more rampant and easily done with DQ.

Individual skill should still be shown but it shouldn't just be about which team had the better players, and anyone could agree with that.

Then why are you so adamantly advocating DynamicQ? It undermines that entirely by being all about who has the better players, or to word it better, who has the better premades. Which just further shafts people who want to play alone, or who can't play with others if they don't know anyone else who plays LoL.

Yes League is a team game, but not everybody plays with a full team. It's exactly why SoloQ was a thing in the first place alongside 5v5Ranked. And it is still possible for a team game to operate with individuals put together as a team. In fact it's been doing that for the last 6 years or so.

Not that it matters to me I've moved onto to other things for the time being. I'll pop back in to see what happens once Season 6 finally dies and 7 rolls in.

this is literally the most dumb argument ever tho

because the current situation is a reverse of it. which is actually a worse situation if those where the accurate numbers

anyway the true reason why is because splitting the community wouldn't have been an issue with 65 million players

however premades do need solo's to fill the gaps how else does a 4 man premade play a game which needs 5 players

same goes for 2 duo's and trio's are also regurlarly matched with 2 solo's

without solo's 4 mans cant play and the rest of them would have even shittier matchmaking then we have currently as well as tripple the queue times

dynamic queue cant exist without solo players end of story

soloqueue on the other hand would be totally fine without premades as proven in previous seasons. it also happens to be better for ranked integrity which is important for esports

the main reason for dynamic queue was to attract more players through their friends. The problem is, new player experience is still horrible as fuck and dynamic queue ruined ranked integrity aswell as alot of the fun for solo players and the result is more people are leaving then they are gaining from it

Its very possible soloqueue will make a return either that or the game experience and queue times will keep deteriorating alongside a burning to ashes e sports and eventually this game will die when players shift to new games which do care about their customers its really that simple

its free to play you don't like it you go find something else to do, alot of players are only staying because of sunk cost fallacy because they spend money and alot of time into their favorite entertainment but if it doesn't change soon and there is no joy to be found even these players will move on and then the game will surely die out

It's actually not. You can play Dynamic Queue solo, so solo players are still able to play, however, people who want to climb while playing with their friends can't play Solo-Queue. And not everyone has 5 people to play with, i'm one of those people, and FYI I have the solo-badge so I don't queue with others often, so the same thing people love it for is why it can't come back. Though if you ask me, they should make Dynamic-Queue try to place Solos with Solos and Pre-mades with Pre-mades. A preference of placement basically. Could be easily done with a simple scripted weighting system. If they're queueing as triple, you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a duo for them. You always have to find a solo for a quad-queue though.

I should make that into a suggestion to try to help improve Dynamic Queue tbh.

2017 or 2018. It's currently in Alpha. It won't use Adobe AIR from what I've heard, so it'll actually be a decent client for once.
