New Gangplank needs a lot of silver serpents to get his upgrades, I have a small buff to help.

What if for every minion/monster/turret/champion killed by Gangplank, he gets 1 silver serpent?

So if he has 100 cs, he gets 100 silver serpents?

If I have to be honest, he needs to get 1500 bonus gold from his Q for all upgrades(though only 2 are good, raise morale is balls) and testing in a game as a super passive GP set up, that is going to take 20-30 minutes if you're explicitly focused on Q farming, faster if you have a ton of CDR, but not by much.

Either this could be a possibility, or his ult can have a lower silver serpent cost, I'm not sure, this is just an idea.

Or you could just learn to use his newly overpowered E to farm.

Seriously, GP should never be guaranteed all three upgrades on his ult.

They're rewards, people!

If they wanted you to have them regardless of how you were playing, they would've fucking added them as upgrades when you leveled his ult naturally!

Wait, if i kill a minion with a barrel that got exploded by Q, i still get the Silver Serpents?

I didnt get to play him at all on the PBE yet, hence my question.

That is indeed the case.

Also, barrels give the attack that explodes them 60% armor pen and bonus damage, as well as a big slow.

The idea behind the silver serpent cost is that it shouldn't be easy to get all the upgrades unless it's super-late game. So, you know, you have to make choices. Since the upgrades aren't the defining part of his strength, the ability to get all 3 upgrades is just a way to for him to get an extra "boost" in the ultra-late game.
