My team just threw a 15 kill advantage, can something please be done about the state of ranked?

This happens in probably 1/3 games, and it's pretty fucking ridiculous. Something needs to be done to normalize skill levels, or stop allowing players to climb on mechanical skill alone.

Ranked is completely fucked up right now, because it's no longer possible to solo carry. About a third of my losses in the past three days are because my team is more interested in farming kills than taking objectives or using an early advantage to end games.

Playing extremely well and snowballing my team doesn't even feel good anymore, because I know there's an extremely high chance that they're just going to throw the lead and the game will come down to composition. I'm regularly getting games where my team is up 5-10 kills, but I know we're going to lose because they won't use the advantage.

If it happens 1/3 games, that means 2/3 you have a good team. All you need is a 51% W/L Ratio to climb. Might be slower then you like, but welcome to Ranked. You aren't going to win every game, even if you are Faker himself.

Instead of blaming matchmaking or your team, look at what you are doing wrong each game and improve. I can guarantee you that there are plenty of times you are making the wrong move, chasing a kill when you should be pushing an objective, or forcing objectives at wrong times. I say this because even Challengers screw up from time to time, and you are no challenger.

The point I am making is that blaming others, or anything else, for why you lose does not help you to become better in ANY way. It just tilts you and hinders your own progress as you are unable to sit back and figure out where you need to improve. So less blame game, more studying of macro play and fixing your weaknesses. I guarantee you will start to climb if you do so.

You realize that I've been Diamond in every season (including Diamond III in this season), and Diamond I in most seasons, and I now cannot get back to Diamond after decaying?

And I'm not saying that my team is bad in 1/3 games, I'm saying that my team dominates the early game in 1/3 games, but doesn't push the advantage and end the game with it. This isn't accounting for games where my team is just plain bad and loses from start to finish.

You should also realize that with a 51% win rate, you climb in 1% of your games and go even in the rest. It takes a minimum of 7 games to raise a division. That means for every 700 games you play, you climb 1 division. Do you even understand how retarded saying 'just play more games to climb' is?

Yes, if I play 5000 games, it will statistically allow me to climb. No, I'm not going to play 5000 games, nor should I have to. If the game is coming down to statistics and not individual skill (which it is), then there's a problem.

Again you are just blaming the system for your inability to climb at the pace you want. It is insanely hard to get out of Platinum, that is for damn sure. You get a lot of people who can always dominate lane, but are lacking in macro play. And going from Diamond to Challenger is like the gap between Silver and Diamond. It is a whole different level of play.

Just focus on improving your own game, don't tilt, and you will climb again. Season is pretty much over anyway so shake it off, learn some new champs, and hit it hard next season. Or Join a 5s team and really put your game knowledge to use.

"stop allowing players to climb on mechanical skill alone"

Ok so. After each game they have to take a written test with a full multiple choice, short answer and Essay section to make sure that they have an understanding of the game instead of just mechanical skill. Problem solved.

No. If they can climb on mechanical skill alone that means that they just need someone on the team to do shotcalling. And that way they can focus their skill into being able to carry. There are the mental players and the mechanical players. There is a whole spectrum all over the league community and trying to say "I dont care if you are really good mechanically, because you arent on my level of a 300 IQ league of legends genius, you shouldnt be able to climb" is just fucking dumb.
