Meta supports not your cup of tea? I've got a cure for that:
Here I'm gonna tell you off meta and likely frowned upon support picks that can be successful and how I've found success with them:
1-Shaco, the bait master: not only can Shack use any of the support items, his boxes make channeled abilities very difficult, and having exhaust and ignite makes you a threat already, not to mention your clone can work as a great distraction and intervention.
2-Pantheon, the Pyke that doesn't share: aside from being really good at tower diving and getting around, Pantheon also excels at disengage and punishing mistakes.
3- Tryndamere, the anti damage: start q>e then max w and between passive crit, resolve secondary, self healing, and an invincibility combining with aoe damage reduction/slows and youve got yourself a lane pushing high damage bruiser that randomly lowers the enemies damage... It's pretty useful from time to time
4- Evelynn, the very situational pick: Eve isn't tanky, but with her ability to trade then back off and heal if she gets too low, and threaten hard cc makes her useful of you already have a tank and they have no disengage while your team needs ap damage
