Frost Queen's + Liandries is enough to outdo everyone on her team and when she gets Rylais she becomes infinitely more obnoxious. She's the Orianna of support except she has CC instead of utility. A role that is supposed to be used for their utility and/or CC should not be consistently doing the most damage on their team after completing 1 item.
AWildAPKalista2 votesInterestingly enough, the stats prove that Zyra actually does NOT perform any better with or without Liandry's. The item isn't good or bad on her, just neutral. I honestly don't build it without someone on the enemy team stacking HP. Luden's Echo performs a lot better, but that's true for literally everyone that builds Echo.
Anyway, Zyra may be played as and "balanced"(this game doesn't have balance...) around supporting, but she's still supposed to be a mage, of course her damage is high. Since she also lacks a heal or shield, most supports items work very poorly on her since most of them revolve around Windspeaker effects and most of their gold efficiency is dumped into these passives. So she ends up buying AP items, like Liandry's. Of COURSE a MAGE that is buying DAMAGE ITEMS is going to be doing damage.
You complain about Zyra doing damage and hard CC at the same time. Well, I guess that could be considered a problem if it weren't such a common occurence:
Akali is SO HOT1 votesThe only supports in that list are Bard, Brand, Karma, Nami, Morg, and Leona and none of them come even close to the damage Zyra can do. A champion shouldn't be balanced around being able to do the most damage on her team with the least amount of gold income.
BluePolarizer1 votesBrand does way more damage than Zyra when it counts: in a teamfight. And he doesn't need as much items to be effective. Zyra transitions into an ult bot late game while Brand's damage never falls off.

I mean, let's put it this way: even a 0-5 Ziggs with DFT and Liandry will probably do way more damage than a 5-0 Zed. Guess who is going to have the biggest game impact though?
Akali is SO HOT1 votesThe Ziggs because he can do a massive amount of damage to your whole team whereas the Zed can only do damage to one person and isn't guaranteed a kill because of all the options ADCs have + their supports. Not to mention Zed brings no utility to the team while Ziggs does.
50000000000000001 votesThe point being made is that damage stat is overrepresented by poke champions. Poke champions can use their cooldowns more effectively than others to deal damage, so even if you have less damage output in a teamfight, their damage chart will be high.
That said, Zyra poke is still kinda ridiculous.
P0IS0N IVY1 votesDid you feed the Zyra? Cuz in a game where the adc is getting kills (like actually all the kills), Zyra's damage should be a little below everyone else's. If you're feeding her, then yeah she's gonna have the most damage since she's using aoe on two champions. Her poke damage is the same as Vel, Ziggs, or any poke champ. If those guys are going mid they definitely have more. The majority of damage on the chart is from Liandry's.

since she was buffed that way. Nerf that and she would be worse than nerfed pre-rework 
back in Season 2.
