I hate getting "caught out" when the backline suddenly becomes the frontline.

seriously. there were two tanks right in front of me like 5 seconds ago, what happened that I'm now apparently deep into enemy lines and it's my fault for not having 4 dashes to keep up with teammates?

Just chaos in a teamfight man. It happens more then I'd like, and that's coming from a tank main.

I like how "tanks" have mobility on par if not better then assassins.

Because Gragas Hecarim Galio Kled Rammus Zac with extreme mobility is fair and balanced.

I hate it when I ghost and flash and Galio still chases me down

several things. kled and hecarim are not tanks, they are fighters on the tankier end of the scale bordering juggernaut territory. rammus only has a speed boost that is stopped if he touches a single minion, gragas and galio (ugh that galio rework) are more like ap bruisers? with more damage than they really should be having and ok mobility, let's be hones the dashes really aren't that long unless you flash and zac? you may be right but he also needs to charge it, and any cc will set him back to totally immobile once more.

There are a lot of bad tanks that are more concerned for their own safety than they are for their squishier teammates. I think they forget what exactly frontline means. It means you're in the front. If you're behind your adc, you're the one that's out of position, not him.

It's not always intentional, especially if you have a double role as a initiator as well. While you RMalphite'd into the enemy team, their Rengar pops up behind your Draven and murders him exactly like how it happened in the cinematic, all before you could even go back to save him with some slows or locket. It just... happens.

I'm not talking about those tanks. I'm talking about the ones that are full health when their adc is dead. We've all seen them.

Or the defensive tanks who jump into the frontline or chase someone down while their adc is alone.

Even I've done it a few times in the moment, but at least I accept the blame.

Paging every Braum and Tahm Kench ever.

Exactly.

Braum IS a peel tank, and so is TK. Both have no business chasing alone, but Braum also happens to be an initiator. It is his role to jump into the frontline sometimes, and he can't do 2 things at once.

In this case, the Malphite would've been full hp too. But well, he's ~1000 range away in the middle of their team, and the deed's done in 2 seconds by just one of them. It happens especially with J4 and Malphite who have flash/EQR and flash/R respectively. Or Sion. Perhaps an oversight on the tank's part for not taking the assassin's presence into account or an outplay on the assassin's part.
