Why Cant you use Zhonyas when hit by a Morg bind?

Morgs Q is a root, not a stun.

A root is defined as:

A unit that is rooted is unable to control its movement for the duration. Moving covers movement commands, as well as all dash and blink abilities - including Flash and Teleport.

So why cant you use Zhonyas? Zhonyas isn't a "movement command". What gives?

Is this working as intended or what?

Be me. Be Fizz. Jump in and blow TF up. Start backing up but get hit by a Morg bind. Spam the hell out of Zhonyas but nothing happens. Rest of the team kills me.

I dont remeber this being a thing in the past. I dont know if this was a one time bug or its consistent

Doesnt really matter. Zhonyas lasts mere seconds compared to the decades of Morg's bind

Morg snare at lvl 5 is 3 seconds zhonyas is 2.5.

maybe...A silence hinders the link between the 2 thus why the champion doesn't know when to use their spells and the summoner can't use theirs either.

when Quinn blinds ME.. not my champ. and even after the blind wears off.. the screen STILL stays all greyed out until i re-spawn.

because I'm dead before it wears off (or 1 auto form being dead)

But maybe because Morgana's bind requires you to be targetable while snared, and Zhonya's makes you untargetable? Not sure, and you can't test it with Fizz because his E is a dash.

Maybe somebody who plays Vlad can test pooling after getting snared to see if it works.

So yeah, I think the snare needs you to be targetable for all three seconds.

It is a dash. The simple reason why he doesn't trigger Taliyah's traps is because he's untargetable for that dash. Same reason he doesn't get trapped by Caitlyn, or get debuffed by Teemo and Nidalee.

There's a reason people have always said Fizz E is one of the strongest basic abilities in the game. It's a dash that doesn't trigger traps (or any damage for that matter) with above-average AP scaling and a hefty slow.

It's def a bug. Morg used to be more buggy than release Azir at one point, and she still causes some utterly ridiculous bugs even now.

Not just her bind I mean. Her black shield is the worst offender. There's a few really weird bugs that nobody's been able to fix, and causes some ridiculous things.

Considering the hitbox is the size of the titanic, it probably is the titanic. I don't know about you, but when giant boats are thrown at me I tend to get a bit loopy. It's understandable that someone hit with the titanic might be a bit loopy and can't activate zhonyas
